I’m having a bit of a panic. I bought a new front door from a local company, and it's being fitted today. It cost thousands, and I’m full of regret over the choices I made in haste.
Originally, the door had one large side panel, but I decided to centralise it, so now it has two small side panels instead. The doorstep will now be in the wrong place, so that’s going to need to be changed too.
I also picked a white frame to match the white windows instead of having it the same colour as the door, but I’m now worried it’s too much white plastic and will make the door look small and out of place. My house is a 70s build… and I’ve somehow ended up choosing a cottage-style door. No idea what I was thinking.
I rang the company shortly after signing off to see if I could make changes, but they said it was already in manufacturing, so too late.
Feeling really gutted now the money’s spent. Has anyone else hated their door when it went in? Did you learn to live with it, or do something about it?
