Just need a few clues as where to start looking, DH is keen on the area as it has good links to London but not to far from the sea.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated

TIA

My parents live in Oliver's Battery which is very nice, good public transport to town, nice surrounding coutryside to walk in. Not sure what the local primary school is like, i did a week's work experience there in 2000 and it was nice then! Quite pricey, but then most of Winchester is I think.
I'm down the road in Southampton, cheaper than Winchester - just and still good links to London.

What do you want?
I mean what sort of house?
Village or town?
Modern or old?
terraced or detatched

EG if you want victorian terrace near station then Hyde or Fulflood

If you want bigger period houses then St Cross

If you want modern out of town/on estate then Badger Farm or Olivers Battery

Nice villages - Itchen Valley, Alresford (lovely georgian small town), Cheriton etc
