Harrrrrumph! Waiting to exchange.

So we are buying and selling. I made a special trip to collet the papers today for signing, understanding that everything is in order. Then had to ring my solicitor about a minor query and asked if they had any idea of an exchange date. They said that they didn't know if everyone else was ready yet and written today to ask. There are only three of us in the chain and I'm sure I had been told last week everyone was ready! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! Pass the gin please. At least it's all still on - anyone else out there in the same (nervous) boat?

Our exchange is set for Thursday! Please cross everything you have Has you agent actually spoken to the buyers lender? I know the agents for the people we are buying from did that - our vendors are even more desperate to move than we are!

BMS - yes please By way of a progress report I've emailed the agent requesting that they contact the lender directly. Haven't heard back yet so will spend today in chasing mode and have a go at the conveyancers as well. Any tips on questions to ask?

Very excited now - we went to look round and measure up yesterday - we all loved it even more I can't wait till Wednesday - Pixel and all other home movers - hope it happens for you all soon!

No real update from here, apparently the buyer's mortgage offer is going through but very slowly and is now at the underwriter (final stage). So fingers crossed that it'll get approved this week...

NL - how did the move go? Hope you're all happily in and can manage a few celebratory g&t's between unpacking boxes this afternoon!

Bit of movement here, seems to be happening - apparently we now just have to wait for deposit cheque to be paid in and clear, then we can set exchange and completion dates at some point next week... fingers crossed.
