How many showers in a five bed house

We have renovated and extended our house so it’s now five bedrooms (currently using one as home office so four bedrooms in use as a bedroom)

we have a large shower room downstairs which we and the kids use daily. Upstairs is a family bathroom which has a bath with just a little hose attachment for rinsing and our ensuite which has a shower.
The family bathroom needs redoing and there is room to put a standalone shower in there as well as the bath as a hot water tank is coming out. There’s lots of storage in all the bathrooms so that’s not an issue.

We plan to move in the next 5-7 years so although we are doing things to our taste we keep in the back of our minds what will help it eventually sell.

would people want a 3rd shower in a five bed house? Or is one shower room plus an ensuite shower room plus bathroom with tub enough?

I'd put in the separate shower if there's space.

I have an ensuite with bath and separate shower, the family bathroom has shower over the bath, and there's an ensuite in the guest room that's just a shower.

Everyone uses my ensuite shower because it's nice to have a bit more space rather than climb in and out of the bath.

We have 3 walk-in showers in a 5-bed, and a separate bath. Would definitely expect it for a 5-bed.

Do not scrimp on bathrooms/showers, particularly as one of yours is downstairs

We have five bedrooms, three en-suites. Master has a huge walk-in shower and free
Standing bath, two en-suites have just large
Walk-in showers. We also have a family bathroom which is only ever used for bathing the dog. Definitely need at least two showers upstairs.

We have a 5 bed. Daughters bedroom
Has en-suite shower room. Son has the main bathroom which has a shower over the bath. We have a large en-suite off our dressing room area which has a bath and stand alone shower. All used on a daily basis, and love that the kids have their own bathrooms as they're getting older.

While you're at it, can you redo the en-suite? 800 x 800 is small these days.

No. It’s that size because that’s how much space there was.

Although I’m doubting my recall of the measurements now as based on everyone’s comments that is tiny and it’s comfortable to use and doesn’t feel too small.

When I lived in a 5 bed, we have 2 x ensuite bedrooms and a large family bathroom which had a bath / separate shower cubicle. I felt that was fine.

I would say at min you need to put in a shower in the main bathroom.
4 beds, 4 showers here.

I definitely think a third shower would be preferable for a 5 bed house. What is stopping you?
