Yes doormats

apiece of furniture which belonged to your late parents which you used to think was really naff but now you actually love?

MrsMitford3 · 25/06/2024 08:53

@poetryandwine do you mean a spinning wheel like in Sleeping Beauty??? Am intrigued but no.

Yes to the furniture. Was a very naff and dated dining room table and chairs (think salmon velvet seats) which we painted and recovered and now I love it

A coffee grinder

poetryandwine · 25/06/2024 08:59

Mirrors that need putting up ?

Aquamarine1029 · 25/06/2024 23:48

No.

An appliance you haven't used in over a decade yet can't get rid of because maybe someday you'll use it again. Mine is my juice extractor.

KatPurrson · 26/06/2024 00:27

No, I think I top out on the unused appliances at about three years. Food processor.

No tent(s)

Spare plastic washbowls

RobinEllacotStrike · 26/06/2024 10:48

A festival/beach trolley?

Do you have .... In your home?
WalkingWombat · 26/06/2024 13:27

No trolley but wish these were more common when my dc were younger. I often see children napping in them. I do have a washing up bowl but it is kept under the sink for when someone has a vomiting bug.

A pile of something under your bed that you are ignoring.

AnneKipankitoo · 26/06/2024 13:29

I get dust under my bed. It gets cleaned out weekly or more often as it is a wooden floor and it is easy.

Heated drying frame

ScottBakula · 26/06/2024 16:54

No heated drying frame.

Tankards ? Glass or pewter

KatPurrson · 26/06/2024 17:48

Glass yes, no pewter, but also a china stein with a pewter lid so IDK if that counts.

EveryOtherNameTaken · 26/06/2024 21:45

Guitars everywhere

MasterOfCake · 27/06/2024 14:06

Kind of! One real guitar and two toy guitars!

Candles that you have never lit.

AnneKipankitoo · 27/06/2024 15:03

Yes.
Not opened yet.

A magazine rack

WalkingWombat · 27/06/2024 18:13

No magazine rack, we don’t buy them anymore or tv guides, except at Christmas.

Roses round the door?

KatPurrson · 27/06/2024 18:27

Only a pulchritudinous barbarity of them.

@WalkingWombat My (late) mother used to write that in my birthday card- “wishing you a pulchritudinous barbarity of roses round the door” so thank you for the reminder.

Lots of grandiose plans sketched onto printouts of floorplans that will mostly never come to fruition?

AnneKipankitoo · 27/06/2024 19:00

That is a huge word @KatPurrson

No.

Well partly no as there is still a bit to be done.
