Plaster coloured paint

I really want one of my rooms to have walls that look the same colour of plaster if that makes sense. Any recommendations? F&B setting plaster looks too pink

I painted my landing/passage with this and everyone has commented on how it looks like plaster, and how nice it is. No pink undertones, more orange, warm, beige. Lovely.

Personally I wouldn't have named it mushroom.... Much more like terracotta in my bedroom

Freshly applied plaster is pink. No getting away from that! However terracotta isn’t the same. Look at terracotta tiles and match the colour to that. It’s an accent colour for me!

I think plaster is a pinky, peach, beige blend tbh! 😆😆

I know what I want I just have to see it! Some of the images of setting plaster look perfect ok google but when i've seen it in real life it's quite pink. I will test it though.

Try masquerade by little green - was worried it would be too pink, but definitely more peachy / terracotta in my north east facing room

OP take a pic on your phone of the colour you want - it can be on anything, a wall, a dress, whatever. Then go to a diy store and ask them to mix the exact shade for you. Problem solved, and no expensive samples needed!

My dd's room is pink ground which always reminds me of plastered rooms and I think is slightly lighter than setting plaster.

We had a room painted in Crown’s Satin Purse. To my mind it’s like the colour of ballet shoes. I’m not sure if it’s still in their premixed colour range though.

Atelier Ellis Tea Rose might work

If you go peachy you run the risk of apricot. Setting plaster in my west facing room is a fairly accurate representation of wet plaster. There are so many brands to look at, I’m sure you will find something but introducing a yellowy peach hue might alter the look.

Dunelm paint is fantastic and Warm Sand is exactly the colour of lime plaster.

@Daz57 I have Peignoir in a bedroom. It’s a warm lilac beige pink grey! Depending on light!

We used COAT paint in pudding in our SW bedroom and for us it was the perfect plaster colour. Worth a sample?

I have crown white pepper in a West facing bedroom. It's a lovely taupe until late afternoon when it goes a pinky beige. Beautiful colour.

But the colour you want will depend so much on the light in the room. Buying loads of samples is they only way I'm afraid

Edward Bulmer 'Jonquil'

Jonquil on the left and setting plaster on the right. Not much difference really. Jonquil maybe has a little more yellow hue.

I've been on the same search as you OP!
Love Setting Plaster but found it too pink for my smaller /darker room also.

The differences are incremental in a small sample but make a difference across an expanse of wall.

@sunglassesonthetable that's so true. I now buy lining paper & paint big sheets & hang a them on a wall to get a truer interpretation
