I really want one of my rooms to have walls that look the same colour of plaster if that makes sense. Any recommendations? F&B setting plaster looks too pink

There’s an F&B paint called Pointing, how about that? Though it’s more an off-white.

F&b setting plaster

Dulux cookie dough was very similar to wet plaster when I tried it.

Try COAT, they have some for just this aesthetic. 'Factor Fifty' is for that bare plaster look, although it's not for walls. But they also have lots more in that range (I've screenshot some). I hope these work for what you're wanting :)

Attaching two pix of setting plaster. Varies according to light. You could try the new Tailor Tack for a lighter hue. Pointing isn’t pink at all. It’s a white with a warm tone.

I have Setting Plaster it’s definitely more pink (which is why I love it) than the pictures on the website. A very warm pink, but definitely pink. Can’t help you with a paint colour unfortunately though.

TizerorFizz · 20/03/2023 15:41

This is setting plaster from F&B website. Not much different to my home pix I think. It’s a rich colour. Not a pastel.

F&B skimming stone reads as a pale muted plaster colour in south light.

toastofthetown · 20/03/2023 15:45

I have setting plaster on my walls and it looks more pink than that to me. Still rich and warm but very distinctly pink, which the OP has said they don’t want. I tried to take pictures of my walls butthe colour wasn’t showing on my screen as it was in the walls. Maybe it’s worth the OP getting a sample pot, but I wouldn’t be pinning my hopes on it.

Thank you for all the suggestions.

My neighbour had setting plaster & it looked pink to me. Nothing wrong with that but I want more terracotta undertones.

I have factor fifty by coat on my walls and it isn't pink at all. A bit coral in bright light maybe

TizerorFizz · 20/03/2023 18:40

Red Earth or Faded Terracotta from F&B might work. The first is a string terracotta colour in my view. I prefer Setting Plaster. I think you would need to go with F&B colour pairings if you use Red Earth. It’s very strong for a whole room.

soffa · 20/03/2023 18:45

I'm going to have to just spend £50 on a load of samples!

I like that @Shmithecat2

I'm a bit put off by anything too pinky because it's definitely the new colour for kitchens, bedrooms & bedrooms. Instagram ruins everything! 😆

Dulux mellow mocha?

Labraradabrador · 20/03/2023 22:40

Little Greene china clay or masquerade? It can really depend on the light in the room as to how the colour reads

Penniless · 20/03/2023 22:44

I’ve got F and B Dead Salmon in one room, and love it. Somewhere between salmon pink, mushroom and buff.

Dulux mellow mocha?

We have a room painted in this and it has a distinct lilac hint to it. It's nice but definitely not plaster colour

Hohofortherobbers · 20/03/2023 22:49

We have a room painted in wickes mushroom, it's really old now and they may have changed the name but I think it's close to plaster, not a pink tone. Have a look at the wickes range, it's matt finish and has lasted really well!!!

TizerorFizz · 20/03/2023 23:46

I doubt “mushroom” is terracotta.
