Hi,

we are a band B with our council. We received a section 21 from our landlord as they are selling the property which has run out ages ago so we do need a place asap.

Bid on a place last week was 2nd in queue but unsuccessful.
Bid on two this week also 2nd in queue. Will find out middle of next week if we are successful but I wondered do you always have to the 1st in queue to get offered a property?

Hi if you do get selected for a house at when do they normally contact you ? As the bidding started up again yesterday but I haven't heard anything?

They have clearly skipped you, you can appeal the decision and contact us also C.A.B and contact your local M.P to ask for a face to face with them, they get get your profile up. All this can be brought up amd in writing. If they've done it deliberately then someone will get in big trouble and they may be dismissed from the Yhn or council. They can be very devious and could hold a personal grudge.

I was just 1st on a bid but I haven’t been contacted and now the property has been removed from website, I’ve not had a great experience with the council and a housing officer I made a complaint about as he had told me if I didn’t except their interim accommodation without my dog any children of mine would be housed without me…Maybe I have been skipped deliberately if the housing officer has any involvement? It was a council housing property too.
