It is stunning 😍

feellikeanalien · 23/05/2022 19:19

Love it but definitely needs more rugs on those floors!

2Rebecca · 23/05/2022 19:24

Rugs are just things to trip over especially on stone/ wood floors as they slide about.

CurlsLDN · 23/05/2022 19:26

The owners comments in the description sounds like they've put in a lot of work and money, but that it's never ending

You need to try rug grips!

It's lovely. Really really nice.

But...

How the hell did they get that boat in there?

Why is there a wall and a hole in front of the kitchen cabinets next to the fridge - I'd fall down it at least once a week!

KatnissNeverdone · 23/05/2022 19:31

It's beautiful but how on earth are they going to get that boat out?

Georgeskitchen · 23/05/2022 19:35

It's errmm ....unusual. Kitchen's a nice size, about as big as the whole ground floor of my house.
I love noseying on rightmove 🤣

Stroopwaffels · 23/05/2022 19:39

Now THAT is a house with character. Love it.

Not sure about the boat, or is it a table?

teezletangler · 23/05/2022 19:40

I do a lot of home visits as part of my job, and recently I went to a home with very high ceilings overlooking a bay- they had an upside boat that had been turned into a light fixture hanging above the dining room table! I did wonder how in earth they got it in.

Paddingtonthebear · 23/05/2022 19:42

Wow. That’s a lot of wood

Mintine · 23/05/2022 19:45

What a really beautiful house, I absolutely love it!

PartyPlan · 23/05/2022 19:48

Can appreciate the character but I wouldn’t want to live there! I bet they’ll get loads of viewings from people just wanting a nosey.

Hoppinggreen · 23/05/2022 19:49

I don’t like it. The stairs terrify me

SarahAndQuack · 23/05/2022 19:54

I love the house but I think they ruined it putting a swimming pool in. Why?! Also the fake diamond-pane windows.

But I am just being a curmudgeon really! It seems really cheap to me, and I don't live in an expensive part of the country. I do love the mill stuff.

Hollyhocksarenotmessy · 23/05/2022 19:57

I love it but no heating, and puddles in one room in heavy rain, it needs lots more work.

LadyEloise1 · 23/05/2022 19:58

What is the boat for ?

Haus1234 · 23/05/2022 20:00

It looks great! Shame about the Japanese knotweed, must be really gutting for them to put all that work in and then be held back by that.

viques · 23/05/2022 20:04

Is that a railway line on the viaduct? And yes, the boat has to go.

ElenaSt · 23/05/2022 20:04

Too much wood for my liking.

thenightsky · 23/05/2022 20:13

I can't find the swimming pool on the floor plan. Confused

WonderingWanda · 23/05/2022 20:13

Certainly quirky, with loads of history but it does look a bit of a money pit to me. I'd be put off by the idea of living under that towering viaduct....something a bit oppressive about it. It has a long list of things that need fixing and not sure about the puddles inside when it rains. No floods since 2015 isn't really that long to prove the flood defences work. That said it's in a good location for commuters to Plymouth and there's a lovely pub down the road!

clumperoo · 23/05/2022 20:25

Awful location. One would have to like trains

ivfbabymomma1 · 23/05/2022 20:25

It looks terrifying but also beautiful at the same time! Not for me though....

ThreeFeetTall · 23/05/2022 21:27

Why have they written all the bad stuff in the description? Didn't they read the thread on here the other day from the woman who lived near the train line?
