Tell me your positive kitchen experiences please?

I'm excited but nervous about our own work - we've done so much to get to this point. The electrics needed redoing, the walls needed skimming and painting. All that is done and prepped. We are getting new flooring, and the kitchen itself of course.

The dining table is in the family room and the fridge is in the hall. I've taken out some of the cupboards already and they are sitting in the garden waiting for disposal.

Tell me it will all be OK. Eeeek.

once your units start going in and it looks like a kitchen again it will be all worth it ours went from a building site think homes under the hammer derelict to i love my kitchen youve done the hard work the walls and electrics mid kitchen and finished

Amazing transformation!

We had our fridge in the hallway too during our kitchen renovation. In fact the whole of our downstairs was a total mess. Worth it in the end though.

Our kitchen refit took weeks but it is worth it in the end. We lived of a microwave and one little induction ring and washed up in the bathroom for weeks. The amount of boxes we had when it was delivered was amazing.

What a change!

The dining half of the kitchen diner is piled high with boxes now. Can't wait to be on the other side of it.

These before and after photos are amazing! If you have an artists impression of what your kitchen will like, @QuiteAtALoss , maybe stick a picture up of it, just to show you the eventual outcome. I think I will do that when we do ours.

Work has begun! The chap is breaking up our tile flooring now. Kitchen cupboards all removed, apart from sink. No going back.

Exciting! How long have they said it's going to take?

we will need before and after pictures and if you take those it will make you feel good to look back on them

He's doing the floor in parts, to allow space for the kitchen floor to be layed, then the kitchen fitted, then the dining half of the room flooring will be free for fitting.

The screed is dry, he's back tomorrow to lay floor and fit units. So exciting!

Love the cat having a right nose! Always need to know what’s going on. Beautiful kitchen.
