Anyone have IKEA Daybed?

I've seen a good as new one on FB market place. But it doesn't come with the mattress so I'll need to purchase it separately.

Except you can't seem to do that on their website?! The mattress for it can't be bought separately?

Has anyone got any ideas? Thank you

You but two mattresses then you can stack on top of each other, or prop one up on side to make a comfy back cushion or hide it behind sofa and bring out when needed! It does not go under the bed like a previous poster said as the drawers are there!
Also look at the weight on the IKEA website - it is a very solid piece of furniture if you plan on taking it upstairs to build!

Think its a euro small single you'd search for

I use a double fitted sheet when it’s a single daybed. As the Ikea mattress is EU size it’s slightly bigger than UK single. By using a double fitted sheet it will cover both mattresses.

My son (now 9) has one of these as his bed. We keep the second mattress under our bed, so he usually just has one of them. He finds it perfectly comfortable.

I think there's a sliding scale of sleep comfort requirements for members of our household, from adults down in size. When DS was a baby he was fine with one of those foam crib mattresses a few cm thick. And the guinea pigs sleep soundly on a board!

Thank you all so much!

I will be getting the bed and the mattress originally meant for it, and adding a double fitted sheet to it so when I add another mattress, it'll work for that too

I'll put the spare mattress in the wiring cupboard I think or perhaps behind the bed

The mattresses are stuff and bulky like a normal mattress. You couldn’t put it in an airing cupboard. You need to buy 2 of the IKEA ones otherwise it won’t work as a double since they’re not normal thickness

Stiff

Unless Hemnes has been improved, the slats are very flimsy indeed. Would not take a flying leap.

Taking it apart is a bugger, too. We gave up on ours and put it on the nature strip.

I would not recommend it to anyone.
