King size or super king??

So we're moving to a bigger house later in the year and I'm trying to plan out some of the rooms. Our current house is pretty small and so we just have a standard double size bed in our master bedroom to allow for other furniture too.

I've been so excited at finally having the space to have a lovely big bed that I just assumed we'd get a super king bed, but now that I look at the dimensions and the space I'm wondering if a kingsize might be a better size for the room, and maybe a king is big enough? We're both average size if that makes a difference, or a little on the taller side.

What do most people have? Is a king size big enough? I'm so used to my double which feels small that I want to get it right!

That means 500 or 500mm bedside tables would be fine. Tiny ones look silly with a super king bed but 500 or 550 is perfectly ok. Another vote for a super king from me.

Always buy bed linen in the sales. When you can - White Company!

Go as big as you can. You won’t regret it. We have an emperor (just short of 7 feet, 200cm wide) and I still wish we’d gone bigger as it was made to measure.

If your bedside tables will be small, think about wall lights instead of lamps.not wall lights which are high up on the wall, lower ones like you’d get in a hotel. That will free up bedside table space.

Superking definitely, but get your DH to help change the duvet cover.
Amazon sell some really decent sheets, I've been surprised how good the quality is for the price.

For Superking bedding go to The Range or T K Maxx. Always have bargains.
