That would be fab bundle. Poor op, it's a not so bad here really.

Bundle · 16/10/2007 12:38

snort!

maybe she lives in a village and I've insulted her!

kp, will try my neighbour today, x

frogs · 16/10/2007 12:44

kp, we use EC1 Lighting in Amwell Street. They aren't the cheapest, but I do rate them.

krabbiepatty · 16/10/2007 12:47

Thanks frogs and bundle, will try both, the poor children have been going to bed in darkness for a week now...

hoxtonchick · 16/10/2007 12:49

surely it just helps them sleep better.

frogs · 16/10/2007 12:54

Yes, who needs lights anyway? Our bathroom is still in darkness, but we have a little row of tealights for that authentic 1970s powercut ambience.

hoxtonchick · 16/10/2007 13:02

sounds like an interiors magazine frogs .

frogs · 16/10/2007 16:03

Interiors mag?

Maybe if you cut out the thick layer of filth, missing floorboards, exposed pipes and free-standing bath that isn't meant to be free-standing...

Yes, your dd and mine are spiritual sisters, aren't they? Dd1 and ds have both been ill, whereupon dd2, not to be outdone, announced that she had a tummyache and it would only get better if she had icecream.

iamnotstressed · 16/10/2007 20:49

Well, we are thinking of selling in Homerton Village, can't afford yours HC, we will probably stay in the area if we do sell. Our local friendly estate agent said nothing is selling, so not good news if you are in a hurry.Anyway we have made a packet on our property, so won't moan too much.

iamnotstressed · 16/10/2007 20:50

HC what are the schools like in your catchment area? That might impact on how quickly you sell, I guess.

Does it really cost £750k to buy a house in Hackney? How big is it?

krabbiepatty · 16/10/2007 21:36

It's a big place Hackney. Some parts are much pricier than others.

iamnotstressed · 16/10/2007 22:05

It's lovely where HC lives, her house looks great.

OP posts:
NKF · 16/10/2007 22:29

I'm sure it does. I was just a little staggered by the idea of three quarters of a million pounds.

hoxtonchick · 17/10/2007 08:33

there are more expensive things round here nkf, ours really isn't over-priced (well, apparently it is for a quick sale....). good luck with it all iamnotstressed.

we are just in the gayhurst catchment in a low siblings year. but ds goes to queensbridge which is rapidly improving & has a lovely head. not sure how to condense that to go in a estate agent's blurb though!

frogs · 17/10/2007 09:33

hc, the usual formulation for that is: "In favourable proximity to X and Y schools."

Snurk.

hoxtonchick · 17/10/2007 10:34

ta frogs!

1 viewing today & 2 tomorrow - i am scurrying around like a crazy thing....
