I want to buy your house now but am too poor. My mum hasn't put her house on the market yet, but I will tell her to have a look.

We have trains. And buses. And the tube is 20 mins walk away. I'm a big fan of the buses as I can get to work and sit down in peace (though the loony count can be pretty high, esp going through Dalston)

hoxtonchick · 16/10/2007 12:04

yes, i love sitting on the 55 all the way to work with my book & my ipod. where are you ep?

EffiePerine · 16/10/2007 12:06

Stamford Hill . So the 243 or 76 for me.

ImBarryScott · 16/10/2007 12:07

Don't mock the bus nutters, EP. They keep me in gainful employment.

Dinosaur · 16/10/2007 12:08

hoxty I can't believe you're really going

EffiePerine · 16/10/2007 12:08

I don't mind as long as they aren't singing first thing in the morning . The announcements are bad enough (but usually drwoned out my my iPod)

EffiePerine · 16/10/2007 12:09

Where are you moving to HC?

Dinosaur · 16/10/2007 12:09

I find the nutter count is pretty low first thing in the morning - they don't usually come out until after the rush hour!

hoxtonchick · 16/10/2007 12:10

devon! we haven't gone yet dino...... (i am pessimistically thinking we are never going to sell the house).

krabbiepatty · 16/10/2007 12:12

Would someone like to buy my lovely house in, erm, Haggerston Park Village (or maybe it's Columbia Road village). Will undercut Hoxty and throw in a lot of semi-derilict children's garden furniture and equipment...

krabbiepatty · 16/10/2007 12:13

derelict even

EffiePerine · 16/10/2007 12:14

Columbia Rd sounds better

Dinosaur · 16/10/2007 12:14

krabbie! Not you too? (sob, choke)

krabbiepatty · 16/10/2007 12:15

No, dino, just dreaming really after failure of the upstairs electrics...

hoxtonchick · 16/10/2007 12:17

my house would suit your lot perfectly kp ...

Dinosaur · 16/10/2007 12:25

Oh God, we had to have our house rewired last year - it was just the worst experience and terrifyingly expensive.

krabbiepatty · 16/10/2007 12:26

But hoxty would have to trade exclusive Columbia Road Village for Broadway Market Village. How could I hold my head up in the City Farm cafe?

krabbiepatty · 16/10/2007 12:27

Arghh, now I've seen Dino's post, perhaps I will buy your house, hoxty...

BOOndle · 16/10/2007 12:28

one of my neighbours had his house rewired by someone he highly recommended (cost about £3 or £4k)

If you could get a name bundle, that would be great. Am hoping complete rewiring not necessary but certainly need an electrician...

krabbiepatty · 16/10/2007 12:33

See no wonder you are not selling your house, hoxty, I mean there I was about to start measuring for curtains and you've put me right off.

BOOndle · 16/10/2007 12:35

kp, i thought I had it on a text - can get it again if you like though, x

hoxtonchick · 16/10/2007 12:36

i suspect the evidence that 2 small messy creatures live here is quite offputting enough....

do you think we've scared the op off?!
