bathroom too small

ComeOVeneer · 07/09/2007 21:58

Nothing .

themoon66 · 07/09/2007 21:58

Have only been here a year and I still love it all

pooka · 07/09/2007 21:58

The road outside is fairly busy. We're quite near a council depot (not within smelling/hearing distance) and so get a lot of bin lorries coming down the road.
Back garden quite small (though manageable in estate agent speak).
Didn't get into the local primary because about 100m too far away
Apart from that, love it. Lived here from birth until I went to Uni and then bought it from my mother 2 years ago.

XcupcakemummyX · 07/09/2007 21:59

basement rooms
stairs to nowhere
paying sil rent
living next to mil

LazyLinePainterJane · 07/09/2007 21:59

artex
lack of security on doors
badly done decor
wood panelling in kitchen
kitchen units
utility room
fixtures
porch
UPVC windows
clay soil
waterlogged garden
shower
tiling

ooohhh I paint a beautiful picture

XcupcakemummyX · 07/09/2007 21:59

and i want a bath not a shower room

tigerschick · 07/09/2007 22:00

The kitchen is a big square room with the units all along one wall so you spend all your time walking backwards and forwards along a line of units.
Oh, and, like a typical farmhouse, you come in the back door - past the downstairs loo and the utility room.

pooka · 07/09/2007 22:00

Ever thought of being an estate agent LLPJ?

OriginalUglyBetty · 07/09/2007 22:01

Would be fab if everything was finshed. DH has a habit of leaving the last few bits to finish and starts on the next room

Huge garden which the children love though so i shouldnt complain.

LazyLinePainterJane · 07/09/2007 22:01

LOL

galaxy · 07/09/2007 22:01

Small courtyard garden with no grass
3rd bedroom is tiny and can't extend dd's Ikea bed to its full length

We have horrible neighbours either side of us.

ensuite bathroom too pokey and depressing.

Kitchen too small
On the positive side, I can walk into town and to the train station and I have 6 nice neighbours!

meandmy · 07/09/2007 22:02

its next to an alleyway (gap with path between mine and the neighbour!) where the lovely locals do there drug deals
my kitchen is too small

my garden is too big for my two bed house

its lacking a few bedrooms

it isnt self cleaning

council have put new health and saftey non slip vinyl in bathroom which i nearly broke me kneck on getting out of the bath

blah,blah blah

NormaStanleyFletcher · 07/09/2007 22:02

The fact it is such a mess and full of clutter

Oh, and I have one too few bedrooms

And the boiler is older than me

sarahhal · 07/09/2007 22:03

Oh I think about this constantly!!

Our house is pretty ugly from the outside but inside is fab- have spent the last 8 years totally modernising it.

We have a stunning open view over fields from one side and the ugliest view and main road from the other!

SlightlyMadSCAREYthing · 07/09/2007 22:04

Other than the fact that I would like a bigger house now that there are 3 extra bodies in it compareed to when we brought it, the things I don't like to the extent that we will be trying to avoid in the next house:

Washing machine in garage
Conservatory. hate it. Too hot, makes the whole house hot, not usable (because of heat), just a dumping ground
sloped roof things in largest bedroom. Room size measured by floor size is great, but half of it is unusable and we bang our heads all the time
DP moved telly when we redocorated and now I can't see it when I MN
Am undecided about open-plan stairs. Think I would chose a proper hall cos noise carries
Need a downstairs loo now we have 3 DDs

Everything else is great. Great location, good sized rooms

Idobelieveinfairies · 07/09/2007 22:10

Everytime a lorry goes past..or strong wind the windows rattle and scares the children.

we now use pegs to secure them...but it don't look too pretty!

pyjamaqueen · 07/09/2007 22:11

Everything needs painting.

gemmiegoatlegs · 07/09/2007 22:12

i love my house. i don't love the local crime rate and the drug dealers, however.

galaxy · 07/09/2007 22:13

Oh and our bedroom is under the eaves and I bang my head if I get up half asleep in the night

NannyL · 07/09/2007 23:14

the artex walls in my lounge (and ceiling throughout)

my hidieouse 'hand made' (by the man who used to live here) 60's kitchen (hand made in the 60's)

My second front door (ie the original front door before the porch was added)

the lack of plug sockets, 16 total in a 3 bed house including NONE in hall /s atirs / landing / porch
