We went to look at a house in Beverley yesterday but ended up falling in love with one we stumbled across on the way there instead.
It's in a place called Hessle which I'd never heard of before. All the surrounding area seemed lovely and we could walk to the Humber in 5 minutes which was a huge surprise as I've always wanted to live back by the water.
My problem is that when I've been googling Hull which is the nearest large area so older kids would no doubt go there for shopping, entertainment etc, it's coming up as a bad place to live. I've street viewed the marina, retail area and such and it looks lovely but google says otherwise.
Could anyone give me some up to date info or thoughts on the area?
The houses are certainly not cheap so that usually shows an affluent area so I'm confused 🤷🏻‍♀️

@LoveGrowsWhere that's the one, I adore their houses.
We were finding out when the ones in Walkington would be ready when we were told to look at the ones in Hessle.
They have some in North Cave too but the area was too small and away from everywhere.
The Walkington aren't even being released until December so won't even be ready to move in till summer at earliest depending on plot etc. I was happy waiting for them but we had an offer on our house so now I'm in panic mode even though we rejected it 😬😬

North Cave is not where it's at for teens Grin
If house is same price in both locations then definitely Walkington is the better vfm. How long you plan to stay if it's a career move needs to factor? Lots of new homes being built in Hessle nearby on Jenny Brough Lane so resale could be hard in short term.

A good builder in the area is Beal Homes - we’ve bought a new build from them and their level of personalisation is excellent - they’ve won lots of awards. They have a few developments around the area that might be worth looking at. Good luck!

Hi, I have a 5 bedroom house for sale in Beverley. It is advertised as a 4 bedroom although it is 5( advised this by estate agent). You have maybe seen and discounted it ? £400K. Good school catchment etc.

@KKJ1980 hi, sorry for late reply but we're over next week to look at schools and was wondering if you can add anymore onto Rokeby Primary and Penshurst? You can pm if you'd prefer.
If we were going to be on Ferriby road is there anymore in the catchment that you could recommend? Smile
