If you could live anywhere in London where would that be?

Just curious. And want to see what's popular.

My partner is selling his house and looking for a new one. It's just the 2 of us, no kids. I'm in my mid 20s he is in his early 30s. Would need at least 2, preferably 3 rooms. But as I said I'm just wondering where others would like to live in London

I've always loved herne hill, villagey feel but not far from centre. Way way out of our price range though unfortunately.

Jammycustard · 16/06/2018 12:18

Depends how much money.

A fuck off big house near Hampstead Heath I think.

Makemineboozefree · 16/06/2018 12:37

Hampstead, definitely.

A Georgian house in Bloomsbury.

Lillylollylandy · 16/06/2018 12:46

Blackheath, where we live now. Beautiful village feel with open Heath and only 12 mins from London Bridge.

adoggymama · 16/06/2018 12:52

A luxurious modern apartment near London Bridge. :) that's the dream!

FunkeyMonkey · 16/06/2018 14:30

Thanks for the replies! All lovely places to live but as we know I unfortunately there are those usual 'London prices'
I found an interesting property in this area. Any thoughts on it?

Anywhere? Holly Lodge Estate is lovely. Or Hampstead Village, or somewhere between there and the Heath.

If we're talking within a budget, Battersea / Clapham Junction is lovely for the money.

tethersend · 16/06/2018 17:11

The area I’ve just left- Bethnal Green/Victoria Park. I miss it even though I’m only a couple of stops away Grin

BringMeTea · 16/06/2018 17:23

Wandsworth, Clapham Common, Hampstead. Pricey mind.

mayhew · 16/06/2018 17:27

You need to tell us
: budget
: whether you want a garden
: whether you are willing to be a leaseholder
: where you work

FizzingWhizzbee · 16/06/2018 17:28

East Twickenham, Richmond Hill, or somewhere in Chiswick. Or The Butts in Brentford.

Harebellmeadow · 16/06/2018 17:28

Muswell Hill.

Do you have a budget? That'd help

champagnesupernouveaux · 16/06/2018 19:32

Somewhere near London Bridge - figure that if could afford a property there, I could afford to do my food shop at Borough Market.

DownstairsMixUp · 16/06/2018 21:34

Barking 😂

notdaddycool · 16/06/2018 22:24

Don’t live in Blackheybut cycle through most days, would if I could afford. Or speculate a bit on crossrail Woolwich/Plumstead/Abbey Wood will rise much better than the market over next few years.

toocool4cats · 17/06/2018 00:12

Hampstead or Richmond

notsolittlegrebe · 17/06/2018 13:11

A big house where I live now (Leytonstone) plus a flat in the West end would do me nicely, thank you very much.

LesLavandes · 17/06/2018 14:54

Hampstead
