If you could live anywhere in London where would that be?

Just curious. And want to see what's popular.

My partner is selling his house and looking for a new one. It's just the 2 of us, no kids. I'm in my mid 20s he is in his early 30s. Would need at least 2, preferably 3 rooms. But as I said I'm just wondering where others would like to live in London

Anywhere? Holland Park

OliviaStabler · 17/06/2018 14:56

Highgate village. Near where George Michael user to live.

Used nor user

Another vote for Bethnal Green.
Moved away a few years ago and miss it terribly. Not everyone's perfect place but it was mine, near to the centre, good transport, vibrant social scene and a fantastic community.

IHaveBrilloHair · 17/06/2018 15:02

Holland park.

MiniTheMinx · 17/06/2018 15:03

Dulwich village, or Notting hill.

EssentialHummus · 17/06/2018 15:05

The place you linked to, Hither Green, has some lovely streets and shops.

I live in the “posh end” of New Cross and love it! Wouldn’t move anywhere else, though a bit more space wouldn’t go amiss if we had the money. DH would say Hampstead Grin.

haverhill · 17/06/2018 15:06

There are so many stunning bits. Crouch End, Maida Vale, Kew, Highgate. There’s a gorgeous bit in Camberwell around Lovers Lane. I love planning we’re to buy when I win the lottery Grin

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 17/06/2018 15:11

Can't say I'd choose to live in Crouch End - it's nothing amazing and more importantly there's no tube station

VickieCherry · 17/06/2018 16:02

Kew, Holland Park, South Ken and the area around the museums.

Sadly I'm not a multi-millionaire 😆

haverhill · 17/06/2018 16:44

My friend lived in Crouch Hall Road and I love those big, solid townhouses round that area. It’s less rarified than somewhere like Kensington. Her garden was stunning.

KTD27 · 17/06/2018 16:46

Crouch end. Any day of the week.

FunkyHeroCat · 17/06/2018 18:25

One of those huge houses near Wandsworth Common - would need a budget of £2 million plus though!

I'm really sorry, no idea about Hither Green though.

frasier · 17/06/2018 18:30

South Ken for the day life
South bank for the buzz
Richmond for the family vibe

I've lived in Muswell Hill and Bethnal Green, both were great, I prefered Muswell Hill.

I would chose either Primrose Hill or Notting Hill if I had to live in London, but I'd prefer to live somewhere else less busy.

ChristmasTablecloth · 17/06/2018 18:31

Bloomsbury or Pimlico

erinaceus · 17/06/2018 18:39

I've always fancied a three-bedroom lateral apartment in Bloomsbury, or one of those flats overlooking Parliament Hill Lido.

I think that where you have linked to might be somewhat more accessible.

SammySays · 17/06/2018 18:48

Please don’t move to Bethnal Green. We have just left the area after living there all our lives. We left because of the increase in crime especially acid attacks. Area is going downhill fast in my opinion!

LMBOB · 17/06/2018 18:56

I currently live in a flat in Twickenham but if money were no object, I'd buy one of the lovely houses in one of the roads leading down to the river, near The White Swan pub. Plus a flat more centrally - maybe Covent Garden

raisedbyguineapigs · 17/06/2018 18:58

Definitely Hampstead, Highgate or Crouch End.

RedPandaMama · 17/06/2018 18:58

Hammersmith is my favourite area, love it.

Kensington Mews

Marylebone High Street

Hither Green is really nice. I like it. Lots of very good schools and good transport links.
