And also around Dulux price range please!

I've got a sample of polished pebble but it's too blue. It's the right darkness though so similar but browny based.

I've tried the dulux app thing but it's hurting my soul Angry

I've got one from Wilko called Storm Cloud.

I was like you - I didn't want blue and I didn't want purple!!!

We've got Wilko paint on every wall in our house in varying colours, have done for the best part of 20yrs, it's fab - wipes clean and goes on brilliant.

Joinourclub · 01/05/2018 19:06

I found dusted moss to be less blueish

FrangipaniBlue · 01/05/2018 19:06

Also have one called Cosy Grey which is basically a lighter version of Storm Cloud.

Therulerofmyhouse · 01/05/2018 19:08

Dulux grey steel (they have variation of shades)
Recently painted my kitchen in this and it is a lovely proper grey.
I have also just done my hallway in polished pebble and agree it is quite blue.
I wished I had done the hallway in grey steel 3 instead!

Wilko pearl grey is very nice too

Justpondering2018 · 01/05/2018 19:15

Dulux chic shadow is lovely and no hint of blue.

SouthernComforts · 01/05/2018 19:15

Thanks.

Dusted Moss 2 looks like a pale taupe to me, does it dry grey?

I'll check out the wilko range I've seen a few recommendations for the paint.

Grey Steel 3 is very.. grey.. Maybe too grey??

Ffs I'm losing the plot aren't I Hmm

Ooh thanks for the pic. Chic shadow was on my list. Might be too dark though arghhhhh. My bedroom is quite dingy and North facing.

I painted my bathroom in bloody Polished Pebble and it is fecking blue! All my towels etc are grey so now it looks stupid!

mummabearfoyrbabybears · 01/05/2018 19:20

I had this issue last year. I ended up mixing my own by adding black to brilliant white. It really was the only way I didn't end up with a blue tint to it. Good luck!! Grin

puffylovett · 01/05/2018 19:20

Get farrow and ball cornforth white colour matched and mixed by valspar premium :)

SouthernComforts · 01/05/2018 19:23

Just- thanks so much.. my room is like pic 1 WITH a light on so I reckon it's too dark Sad

Wilkos Cosy Grey is looking promising!!

A bit left of field, we have an east facing room in Perfectly Taupe and it looks purely grey in the room. It was greige for about 24h then turned grey IMO.

Crown Linen Cupboard is a bit pink for our room so might be a good non-blue one for yours. It's kitchen and bathroom though.

Don't forget the impact of the colour around it. Linen cupboard looks very pink when painted on a pale green wall, and quite literally a completely different colour - more of a clear grey - against a different background.

ayedidye · 01/05/2018 19:24

I had chic shadow and liked it, I also have Egyptian cotton which is very very light but definitely not blue and is really fresh in the room!
Wish I'd done the full house Egyptian cotton

SouthernComforts · 01/05/2018 19:25

Cosy Grey looks similar to Dusted Moss 2 but I think I've lost all sense of colour at this point.

Thanks Macaroni - I'm calling this my Mission against Magnolia. The entire house including gloss was magnolia.

The living room will be a pale taupe/biscuity colour.

I've done a room in Egyptian Cotton and it looks beige. Colours are weird!

keepingbees · 01/05/2018 19:29

Johnstones China clay is a lovely light grey.
Dulux just walnut is a warm neutral grey/greige I have in my living room. I have dulux chic shadow in my bathroom and it's quite dark in my opinion. And yes polished pebble is very blue toned, I see it recommended in here a lot but my ds has it in his room and it's very cold and bluey

keepingbees · 01/05/2018 19:31

@BobbinThreadbare123 yes I have Egyptian cotton in my hallway and it's definitely beige! I've been disagreed with a few times over people recommending it as a grey

FrangipaniBlue · 01/05/2018 19:33

One is a full wall and one is inside the window reveal..... both Cosy Grey

Depends on the light in your room. In south facing rooms, we’ve found that most greys look purple or blue. Cornforth White in my friend’s house looks lovely but purple in our south facing lounge.

We went for Dusted Moss 2.

SouthernComforts · 01/05/2018 19:40

Frang that's lovely but much darker than it looks online! I need that but a shade lighter.
