Neff ovens and Quooker taps - why are they so popular?

We are commencing a huge renovation and have been asked to pick our kitchen etc and appliances.

Looking at Ovens on various sites Neffs seem to come out as the popular choice. They are also £££.

Before i jump on the bandwagon, hive mind, are they worth it?

Whilst we are thinking about this.. Quooker taps? yay or nay?

I'd love a Quooker tap! Keep trying to justify it to myself, and I can't really, but I still want one.

We have a Quooker. Its basically a gimmick and I'm a bit eye-rolly at myself occasionally. But hey, it declutters the counter and it's nice never having to wait for a kettle to boil!

I think there are only 2 brands of boiling water taps anyway and Quooker are the slightly cheaper one so more common.

However, Quooker taps can be useful if you use a lot of boiling water and want to save time. I didn't get one as I preferred to get a kettle that can be set to a range of temperatures as that's of more use to me.

I love my Neff oven as the door slides away underneath when you open it. A godsend in my postage stamp sized kitchen.

I have a neff oven with the sliding door so that I can easily take food out of the oven and swivel and put it on the island unit. It was the sliding door aspect that I bought it for. My island unit is a large old farmhouse style unit with drawers and a shelf that I repainted a deep purple and put a new top on.
My other oven is a cheaper Beko oven that I only use when I need the extra space.
I could never justify the price of a boiling water tap but they look pretty.

I have a quooker tap and love it. It's just the boiling water one though, not the latest one that does 3 different temperatures. I guess all I would say is that it depends on your budget how important you think it would be. Yes, we love ours but I'm very aware it's simply a 'nice to have' rather than an essential piece of kit and if my budget had meant that versus say a dishwasher/tumble dryer etc I wouldn't have favoured it over more essential appliances. Also, we still have a kettle! It's an Aga type kettle for the gas. Problem with quooker taps is they don't work if you have a power cut (mini boiler under the sink). So we have to have a back up in case the power goes which is surprisingly regularly around here.

Thanks for this thread! I'm about to order neff ovens and quooker tap (new flexi one - you only need one tap as it does cold too). I've done some research but always nice to hear that they work.

If I was actually going to buy one, I'd get a nice stovetop kettle too in case of power cut.....daydreams about fantasy kitchen, with associated fantasy cooking skills.....

It’s like anything that’s not essential.
It can make your life easier if you have it, bit like a cordless vacuum cleaner.

I would love a boiling tap, I feel like I’m constantly having to boil my kettle.

How much is the one that also does cold water?

I have a neff oven (not sliding door) and it's just an average, reasonable oven. Nothing special. Had mine fixed once so not a magic life span or anything.

I looked at a boiling water tap and it looked like it would cost more in electric than a kettle for someone who didn't use it often. Possibly only a good choice for heavy kettle-boilers.

Have an insinkerator 3 in 1 tap. So does boiling, and normal hot and cold mixer. Cheaper than quooker. Use it so much. Drink lots of hot drinks and find the combination of that and the induction hob means that my water is ready for pasta within a minute tops.

I wanted one but wanted one that looked nice (not too modern) and was actually boiling rather than 98/99 degrees. And I wanted 3 in 1 and a pull out hose. So couldn't buy one..then typically the fusion comes out!!

I have the insinkerator 3in1 too and love it. I have the white tap one and it cost £388 including the 2017 boiler. I find the water a bit cool for making black tea but great for everything else like instant coffee, herbal tea and for boiling pasta and cooking veg.

I have both of these- oven is just an oven- only got a neff to match my hob- Neff was the only company to sell 4 hob rings in a row rather than a square.

Boiling tap- I would never be without this. Love love love it- it really is so handy! I don't treat myself often but when I did my house up I definitely feel it was money well spent.

Love my quooker. Neff oven - well I've no reason to believe it's better than any other but it's good.

Have ordered neff oven, combo & hob-salesperson said they were the best but sold us cheaper dishwasher & big fridge as they didn't need to be £££s. They'll only be fitted mid November so hoping I get used to it all before Christmas!

Oh goodness now I need a neff slide and glide digi multi function 32NOB one.

I am thinking I do not use a grill so why buy one... and get a microwave /oven combi for overspill?

The quooker fusion ...Flex hose. Ugh. I don't need windows really do I....

I did all this last year and went for all Neff appliances. Slide and hide oven, combi oven, deep warming drawer and induction hob. I love them all. I probably didn't need to have washing machine, dish washer etc from Neff particularly as they are integrated but pleased with the quality. would have loved the qooker but when cost was equivalent to that of two or three other appliances put together it felt hard to justify. They are fab though

I have a 3-in-1 tap and I love it. It came from howdens with the kitchen. Had to tweak the temp a bit but it's now hot enough for tea.

We got their ovens, they are made by AEG. Single pyrolitic oven with grill, and a multi function oven/microwave. So we have 2 fan ovens, and 2 grills. All of which are excellent. We also got an AEG induction hob which is awesome, it even has a timer which switches off the ring when after a length of time. You can have different timers on each of the 5 rings

All kitchen is Neff and delighted with it. Ovens ar3 so quiet and easy to use. Went for a Franke Omni 4 in 1 tap that is boiling. Boiler that sits in cupboard under the sink is smaller than quooker so boiling water capacity is smaller but great for us and plenty adequate. It does hot, cold, boiling and filtered and cost about half of the quooker.

Oh I'm glad the people who have Neff get on with them. I'll be having a slide 'n' hide pyrolytic oven, induction hob and telescopic hood put in as part of my re-fit. Never cleaning an oven again gets a massive thumbs up from me.

I was going to buy them online from AO, but Benchmarx, the suppliers, said they could match the price.
