Rainbow bedding

Ridiculous post, sorry! My daughter wants a rainbow room - I'm thinking this could be done tastefully, perhaps blue cloud and rainbow fabric - or maybe just clouds and the rainbows can be highlights - ideally I'd like to future proof the roof a little... but I can't find rainbow bedding that isn't pink or covered in unicorns / castles / fairies etc. Don't suppose anyone has any or has seen any? (I think I'm fixating on the curtains my best friend had in 1985 which were just very simple sky blue curtains with clouds and rainbows...)

I think la redoute has an ok one

BeanoNoir · 20/09/2017 21:07

m.laredoute.co.uk/ppdp/m/prod-350055656 has got a bit of a wanky slogan on it though

BeanoNoir · 20/09/2017 21:09

m.laredoute.co.uk/ppdp/m/prod-350011826 this ones nicer but £££

whyismykid · 20/09/2017 21:18

I like the subtlety- but not sure about the slogan!

I quite like the hot air balloon option, wonder if I can persuade her that that's almost rainbows?!

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know they did bedding

Just marking place as I think I saw something.

BastardTart · 20/09/2017 21:21

Are you any good with a sewing machine? Duvet covers are one of the easiest things to sew, and there is plenty of 100% cotton rainbow fabric online - that's how I did dd's rainbow bedding (and just got a bright red pillow case in the shop)

Pikmin · 20/09/2017 21:29

I won a few yards of rainbow fleece fabric a while ago, it was supposed to be to make stuff out but it was the perfect size to cover the bed or sofa so we just use it as a blanket. I don't remember where from but a google of rainbow fleece fabric by the yard has options.

whyismykid · 20/09/2017 21:29

I could entertain getting the sewing machine out - links to fabric would be great!

I think it's really cute!

Puffpaw · 20/09/2017 21:45

Sorry I've just seen you were asking after bedding, this fabric would be for cushions, curtains or a quilt

tissuesosoft · 20/09/2017 21:46

This one is pretty (but has mermaids)

Love the pottery barn set!

Germgirl · 20/09/2017 21:59

any good?

Stellato · 20/09/2017 21:59

Buy a few extra pillows and get solid coloured bedding in rainbow colours, then mix and match as you rotate the bedding?

BlessYourCottonSocks · 20/09/2017 22:02

We had brushed cotton stripes as kids. Like this. Rainbow stripes?

Lulu and Nat - they do beautiful bedding and it's well worth the slightly higher price. My daughter has the rainbow bedding from them and it's gorgeous!

Etymology23 · 20/09/2017 22:20

I had an amazing hot air balloon lampshade when I was little.

Loved it! This one also has a rainbow on it!

Could you make it more "sky" themed?

LikeTheShoes · 20/09/2017 22:25

Argos do very cheap and cheerful rainbow Stripes and stars: www.argos.co.uk/product/1199068
It is more than 50% polyester though (no ironing, but it can be a bit plasticy

whyismykid · 20/09/2017 22:27

I love the pottery barn one - that's pretty much exactly what I was imagining! Thanks for Ojoj - now, can I justify flights to the US to buy it?!?

"Rainbow bedding" on Amazon brings up a good reversible one with stars on the other side
