Rainbow bedding

Ridiculous post, sorry! My daughter wants a rainbow room - I'm thinking this could be done tastefully, perhaps blue cloud and rainbow fabric - or maybe just clouds and the rainbows can be highlights - ideally I'd like to future proof the roof a little... but I can't find rainbow bedding that isn't pink or covered in unicorns / castles / fairies etc. Don't suppose anyone has any or has seen any? (I think I'm fixating on the curtains my best friend had in 1985 which were just very simple sky blue curtains with clouds and rainbows...)

whyismykid They ship to the UK!!

Etymology23 That shade is great!

Germgirl - that's pretty good - and cotton too which helps, not sure about the sweeties though...

Love the Garland puffpaw

And all the stripe suggestions are lovely but I think it has to be rainbow 🌈 shaped as well as the colours... we've made a deal that she will have the smaller room if she gets to decorate it so I want to get it right for her!

Thank you - really appreciate the time you have taken to reply

No help at all but I'm pretty sure I had the same 1980s curtains as your friend!

Jools Oliver's range of stuff has rainbows on. Not sure if it's just cot linen though, but she does a rainbow rug that's lovely.

Tattychicken - that rug is amazing! Think the bed is just for cots though

My daughter has a rainbow room. Walls are the b&q mix paint baby blues and have clouds sun and large rainbow decal. The curtains are dunelm circus white background small coloured stars so not overpowering. I didnt want to do matchy matchy so her duvet is a coral coloured patterned one from dunelms basics range, which is actually lovely and soft. We have bookshelves in yellow, coral and green and a mix of coloured cushions. We have the ikea cloud wall lights which are ace.

There are some fantastic rainbow prints if you dont want decals. Have also seen some amazing painted walls but this may be too much for a small room.

Mupflup - if I close my eyes I can still see it! Maybe I should call her Mum and Dad and ask if they saved it for dust sheets 😂

She had matching wall paper as well...

IonaMumsnet - Our DDs must be so 'on trend' if everyone is rainbowing! Must be rainbow shaped and too many lollipops - though I've been humming the tune since that one was posted above!

Joinourclub- pink is out, as are princess and castles - not her thing (even if only on the reverse, I did ask (repeatedly!) But that fabric is the starting point - like that but plain and we are in business!)

Hey Whyismykid. Don't suppose this any good? Definitely not pink but maybe too grown up? Don't know how old your DD is.

whyismykid · 30/09/2017 19:22

Ooh, IonaMumsnet, that's lovely! Maybe too grown up, I'll check with the boss...

And Ilovewillow Lulu and Nat is fab! But too pricey!

I've bought a rainbow bedding set for dd when she goes into a full size bed - it's from frugi. Will look for a link...
