Anyone used AnyVan?

Hopefully moving in a fortnight (selling & buying so no overlap). I got removals quotes from 5 local removal companies last month, ranging between £650-£720 (one bed flat plus loft & shed, to a house, less than a mile away, packing ourselves).
Tried AnyVan today & getting quotes between £270-£350, so quite a significant saving.
Has anyone used them for home removals? I've seen a couple of worrying reviews about last minute cancellations... Anyone had an amazing experience with them & can give me the courage to save £300? Anyone had a bad time & thinks that the peace of mind isn't worth the savings?

Booked a removal with AnyVan for 6 items. Paid extra for a morning pick up. They arrived at 10.11am - 2 guys with a clapped out van. They were very sweet but had absolutely no clue what to do and what they were picking up. At 10.20 they informed that the shutter on the van was broken and that they couldn't fit the Fridge-freezer in under it. I asked them when it had broken and they said the day before and they had reported it but their boss 'just didn't care'. They had to drive to Rochdale (11 miles away) to get it fixed. I asked to speak to their boss who was simply rude. 2 hours later they returned by which time I had lugged everything from upstairs down (a bed, mattress and a chest of drawers - not bad for a 60 year old) as I was really tight for time as I had to vacate the house. My partner arrived and had to advise them how to load their van. They had come with no gloves, wheels or any lifting experience. We eventually got everything delivered 4 hours after they first arrived. Upon complaining to AnyVan I have been offered £20 back on my £184 bill and an offer of a 30% discount should I wish to use their services again. I was mistaken in thinking Anyvan was a national company - they are simply brokers who will send any old van and driver to do the job. This was a really poor experience and I'd advise folks to go local with a company that knows what they are doing.
