Hello ladies and gentlemen,

We have currently sold our property in Birmingham and are planning to move t south. My DH works in Watford junction and we want to move somewhere that is easy to get to Watford junction. We have two kids our DS is two years old and our DD is 4 months old. At the moment we are looking at Milton Keynes we are looking for a location where there are good schools, local amenities and a place where there are fun activities for children. we would like a 3/4 bedroom house.

My DH walks to the station from Bradwell Common in about 20 minutes. No idea about schools though.

Thank you all for your help, we are currently in Milton Keynes looking at houses. Tattenhoe seems quite nice.

Do any of you know where I can find an area with lots of activities for children ?

What kind of activities? We've done cubs, indoor skydiving, sledging at the snow slope, sports at the local leisure centre, swimming, ceramic painting, trampolining, spy kids, youth club, music lessons with MkMs.. The parks trust do nature events & walks, the council do fun days, the libraries do story times and summer reading challenges, 360 play is a big ball pit activity centre, there's gymboree... Grab the local papers there is usually a what's on. Most areas have a Local Centre which is worth checking out to see what it's got as it varies.

The only possible reason I can imagine for an estate agent telling you to avoid Broughton and Shenley Church End is that they don't have any properties in those areas on their books. I can't see what would be unsafe about either of them. Broughton would be better placed for drivng south, Shenley for the train.

This is the 2015 index of deprivation map, avoid the black bits and the dark red bits and you'll be fine mkinsight.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/DC000124-OVERALL-RANK.pdf
