Well that is exciting - but, um, they need to fuck off! They can't stay post ocmpltion!

Skittlesss · 30/06/2016 16:03

Still not out!!! Omg what do I do?

Heyheyheygoodbye · 30/06/2016 16:21

Tell them to bugger off as it's your house now! They'll need to go and wait elsewhere I'm afraid. Not your problem.

Skittlesss · 30/06/2016 17:46

Dodging my calls now. Going to sort the kids out and then go up and see if they're there.

This whole process has been shite, I don't know why I even thought today was going to be any different. It's sucked the whole joy out of it all.

Heyheyheygoodbye · 30/06/2016 18:56

I'm sorry Skittlesss it's so shit. Tell them to fuck off out of it. We'll all come with you.

Au79 · 30/06/2016 19:10

Bring the kids and tell them to cry, and join in.

Titsdown · 30/06/2016 20:27

skittlesss - that's an absolute stinker. What if you had to be in there to put the kids to bed!?

Hope they've pissed off now.

Well we're definitely not exchanging until the 11th (reminder: we have to complete be out of our rental by the 15th). Because the fucking people our vendors are buying from have fucking swanned off to the fucking Maldives for 2 weeks without signing their fucking contracts. Even though on Tuesday both agents and all 3 solicitors were under the impression that all contracts were held ready for exchange.

I'm just booking movers and cleaners and check out in and will assume that it will go ahead as planned. I can't face the alternative.

Skittlesss · 30/06/2016 20:46

They have not yet got out.

Solicitor said to leave it for tonight. They're in breach of contract and to just get my children to bed and try not to be too upset.

Titsdown · 30/06/2016 20:58
Flowers
kirinm · 30/06/2016 20:58

Skittle - what does that breach mean? Can you sue them? I'd be fucking furious. I'm sorry your completion date has been ruined.

Skittlesss · 30/06/2016 21:28

I don't know. I don't want to sue them as I feel.bad for them but I am just so sad that it's all been so shit. My sol said they should have been out of the hosue when we completed. Sorry for typos I've been up since 330am and am pretty sad.

needresolution · 01/07/2016 12:51

OMG skittless what time did you eventually get in??!
Mines completed today Wine and now Im awaiting a call to get the keys - hope it doesn't last all day :S

Wishfulmakeupping · 01/07/2016 14:21

Good luck resolution hopefully not long to wait.
Skitless what a bloody pain hope everything is ok now?
Ours is looking good again fingers crossed! We're buying a newbuild off plan so just been in to finalise our choices today if it happens it will be beautiful picked some lovely options :)

whois · 01/07/2016 14:52

Skittlesss what has happened today? Are you in?

The contract should detail what the penalties are for not providing vacant possesion.

Solicitors need to be all over this.

Skittlesss · 03/07/2016 07:59

We got the keys at 930am the next day. Love it!!

kirinm · 03/07/2016 14:16

Did anyone ask to view the property again before exchange? It's been 8 weeks now and we know the tenant should be leaving next Saturday and I'd like to see the flat (having only seen it for 5 minutes before). That's a reasonable request pre-exchange isn't it?

Titsdown · 03/07/2016 15:40

Good work skittlesss. Enjoy. Wine

We did two viewings, one before and after offer. But none since. (But we are 2hrs away, if I was local I might have popped in again. Given that your place was tenanted and now isn't, I think it's a fair request. (It's not like you're going to be disturbing anyone)

whois · 03/07/2016 19:42

Skittlesss so happy for you!

Hey kirinm it's totally fine to ask, quite common to go back and measure up.

Heyheyheygoodbye · 03/07/2016 20:40

Yay Skittlesss!!

kirinm · 04/07/2016 13:09

Just spoken to my solicitor and he thinks we should be in a position to exchange in the next week or so. I hope so!

Heyheyheygoodbye · 04/07/2016 17:00

Fingers crossed Kirin!

Nothing here. Just waiting for the queries to come back. Ho hum.

Titsdown · 05/07/2016 06:34

Sounds good Kirin!

Well we're starting to pack a few bits and I've got the removers provisionally booked for next Fri but if we don't exchange next Mon as planned we are going to have to go into storage/stay at my DPs. It's v stressful and frustrating that we can't do anything. To cap it all off the baby is sick and so am I. Best to get it out of the way before the move though, last time we moved we all had norovirus and it was HORRENDOUS.

kirinm · 06/07/2016 09:46

Can anyone (spickle) explain what happens after all pre- contract enquiries are resolved?

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 06/07/2016 10:06

Hello everyone. We finally have (totally crap) Internet (I even ran out of data on my phone).

Glad to hear of exchanges and completions. Although Shock at skitless's vendors who wouldn't get out after completion!

We are sorting our house out. It was utterly filthy. It took us 3 days of scrubbing to clean the kitchen. The floor was indescribably awful. Im not sure the previous owners ever mopped it. And they had a dog.
