Pic 5. Gives a rather odd impression of the layout of the house if that's where they keep the armchairs!

That's barking! Who thought that was a good idea?

momb · 20/02/2015 14:09

Agas are on all the time, so on cold winter evenings it would be lovely to sit reading or sewing beside one. The picture also shows how wide the kitchen is that you can put two chairs diagonally and still use the kitchen normally.
I'm a bit jealous actually!

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 20/02/2015 14:11

Looks a bit odd but would be so warm and cosy! My IL's had an aga and everyone wanted to sit in the chair nearest to it in the winter. Saves you paying to heat the rest of the house too!

SilverShins · 20/02/2015 14:12

House is cold?

Mostlyjustaluker · 20/02/2015 14:14

That was my thought too silver

Sizzlesthedog · 20/02/2015 14:14

That looks so cosy. Everyone gravitates to the warmth of an AGA. Nothing better than warming your toes on one.

Merrylegs · 20/02/2015 14:15

Ha, (speaking as an aga owner) - that is bonkers - and suggests the rest of the house is really really cold.

JumpJockey · 20/02/2015 14:17

Fair enough then! I'd be very happy with that lot of house for the cost of a teeny 2 bed terrace with no parking where I live Envy. DH is from Glasgow so I frequently look lustfully at the mansions you can buy up there...

It does look a but odd, although tbh if mine wasn't right next to a door I'd be tempted.
As it is, I'm constantly in danger of tripping over a cat or dog that has taken up residence leaning up against the AGA. I added chairs they'd think life was perfect.

soupmaker · 20/02/2015 14:24

I live just round the corner!

Luckystar82 · 20/02/2015 14:57

Picture 5 made me laugh out loud!

MamaMary · 20/02/2015 15:38

Mine is next to a sofa.

So I can lie on the sofa and rest my feet on it. Bliss!

Sizzlesthedog · 20/02/2015 17:13

How odd, the aga photo has gone.

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 20/02/2015 17:19

The link now goes to a completely different house!

marymouse · 20/02/2015 17:21

Love the description of 'massive kitchen with aga'

CMP69 · 20/02/2015 17:29

The photos and description don't match now Sad

HerRoyalNotness · 20/02/2015 17:37

Ah, I thought I was being dim, I couldnt see the aga! Phew, still got all my marbles

msrisotto · 20/02/2015 17:41

Same! Thought I was going mad!

MamaMary · 20/02/2015 17:46

How bizarre the link now goes to a completely different (in every sense!) house but EXACTLY the same price in the same part of Glasgow!
Grin

Pinkje · 20/02/2015 18:43

I thought they had all lost their marbles!

Sizzlesthedog · 20/02/2015 19:33

Very strange!

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 20/02/2015 20:02

Aga house on another site

sleeponeday · 21/02/2015 03:34

The image is cached. I've attached it.

Can't have put too many off if it's sold this rapidly. I think it's a really nice house - not my taste, but big and lots of character. And I think chairs around the Aga make a lot of sense, really. It's probably warm if you heat the whole house, but why put central heating on if you've an Aga already pumping it out and the space to have a kitchen with armchairs?

I know Agas are attractive, but really...?
