This is a studio flat in a self contained house.

I love it, I always look at the set ups they have in ikea for this kind of living space, however I would have to live there alone and it costs twice what my 3 bed terrace is worth, so on balance I'll give it a miss.

LittleBearPad · 08/09/2014 18:06

Shock. The world has gone completely mad.

Pipbin · 08/09/2014 18:08

London has gone completely mad. The rest of us are quite sane.
My 3 bed semi cost £1k less than that.

The price will be due to it being a highly desirable area.

Personally, I'd be too scared to sleep in a bed that high up. Don't like the idea of stepping on the kitchen to get to bed either (I'd never get up them after a glass of wine either Grin)

noisytoys · 08/09/2014 18:11

I'd be scared of falling out of bed!!

Pipbin · 08/09/2014 18:13

It does have a lot of storage for a place that size. More that the average new build!

Central London house prices are crazy. My 3 bed house in London Zone 4/5 cost apx £80,000 less than this. Less desirable area but I think I can rather suffer that.

Dolly80 · 08/09/2014 18:29

That should say 'would rather suffer...' not can - apologies for my awful sentence structure.

Pinkje · 08/09/2014 18:37

It's cute, I like it and no upstairs or downstairs neighbours to annoy you. I think it represents good value for money.

SeattleGraceMercyDeath · 08/09/2014 18:42

Pinkje, you have to sit on a cushion on the floor!!! In what realm is that good value for money?!

George9978 · 08/09/2014 18:49

Jesus wept, my utility is bigger than that.
Crazy small..is the loo in the shower?

George9978 · 08/09/2014 18:51

And you would think they could hve painted the damp wall.

Magpiemystery · 08/09/2014 18:53

Is it near good schools? A family will be 'living' there in order to get a place!!

specialsubject · 08/09/2014 18:56

how damp and smelly is that going to get when it is lived in?

no-one could be that desperate to live in London.

Dolly80 · 08/09/2014 19:05

If you click on 'sold nearby' there are pictures of it from 2008, when it was a more traditional styled studio.

I've just noticed the listing calls it a one bedroom terrace - really!?

PinkSquash · 08/09/2014 19:07

It's a converted garage isn't it?

Why would you pay that much for that, even if it is Islington.

Pipbin · 08/09/2014 19:11

I've just noticed the listing calls it a one bedroom terrace - really!?

I guess that it's a house though really. It's not a flat as such is it.

Dolly80 · 08/09/2014 19:21

I suppose so Pipbin, although I think your description of 'studio house' is probably more accurate.

SpaceStation · 08/09/2014 19:31

Wow!

It's ridiculously expensive, and the damp is a worry, so no way would I be interested even if I wanted a tiny London dwelling. But I do like what they've done with it and the use of space. That kind of layout and design could be used to make modern affordable living pod type things for students etc.

dotdotdotmustdash · 08/09/2014 19:32

You couldn't pay me £275k to sleep in that bed.

SpaceStation · 08/09/2014 19:53

The foot end of the bed is the "edge" with the drop. It would be quite hard to fall off feet first surely.

I would love being up there with the little cupboards!

catwithflowers · 08/09/2014 21:43

Ridiculous Shock

Hoopalong · 08/09/2014 21:49

Exactly my first thoughts dotdotdotmustdash!

Puringmary · 08/09/2014 21:57

I cycle along there too/from work. It's a veh naice area.

London house prices are NUTS. We often think living here just doesn't make any sense when you earn a 'normal' wage. Sadly, my job doesn't exist outside London so we're stuck, for now.

Cherryblossomsmile · 08/09/2014 22:00

That's not a bedroom, its a shelf!
