This is a studio flat in a self contained house.

That's bonkers. I'd feel claustrophobic in there.

We bought a 3 bed flat in NE London for £92,500 in the year 2000, sold it for £248,000 in 2007 and unbelievably the prices in our old road have not risen since we sold. Bizarre considering everywhere else (seemingly) has.

It's ridiculous. Happily, prices have now flatlined. I notice quite a few houses I looked at in Feb/March didn't sell, got taken off the market and have now been relisted as new properties, at a lower price. I called an EA and asked whether they had been on the market before, they lied and told me the house hadn't been on the market since 2005! That's signals desperation to me. I now have noted about 5 houses, reduced in price by £75 to £200k each, all relisted as new. I'm sure there's more to fall.
