VivaLeBeaver · 28/02/2014 19:37

Freaky weeping angel type statue in the hall.

Bowlersarm · 28/02/2014 19:39

It's great isn't it?? With a few changes.

Sunnyshine · 28/02/2014 19:40

That is s beautiful house with some changes!!

sassytheFIRST · 28/02/2014 19:40

Wowsers. Who lives there now? A maharajah from the 1930s?

I love the parasol above the chair in the lounge. I need a parasol above my end of the settee.

NormHonal · 28/02/2014 19:40

Ok, I'll bite.

Am Envy overall as it looks stunning.

My first observation was...what's with all the crucifixes? To ward off the local vampires?

AlpacaLypse · 28/02/2014 19:40

Did they buy job lots of gilded furniture from a brothel that was closing down? Also bright yellow paint and red velvet?

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 28/02/2014 19:40

Bloody hell. Lucky her. Hmm

She's got a few bob then?

AlpacaLypse · 28/02/2014 19:41

If it was around here it would be well into seven figure Envy

GalensOyster · 28/02/2014 19:41

Personally I think every bath should have a mosquito net. Should be compulsory.

Methe · 28/02/2014 19:42

I love it!

Northernlurker · 28/02/2014 19:42

I can see twigs and pebbly shit on the stairs....

mymatemax · 28/02/2014 19:44

beautiful house, with a paintjob

Northernlurker · 28/02/2014 19:45

That's a fab house though - the 'bones' of it are great. looks like all their energy went in to the interior not the garden. It looks quite neglected.

babyfedleaning · 28/02/2014 19:46

It's almost bearable, were it not for the gilding and the high catholicism

OP posts:
HappyAsEyeAm · 28/02/2014 19:46

I would love to get my hands on that house. Fabulous proportions, as Georgian houses have, lovely bog windows so lots of light. And the garden is great. I could even move my parents into the coach house for babysitting. Bliss. Unfortunately, we live within the m25 and property in the same price range as this house is truly limited in comparison.

SirChenjin · 28/02/2014 19:46

What a gorgeous house Envy

The Triad-inspired decor not so much.

17leftfeet · 28/02/2014 19:47

Do you think there is actually a baby in the house, or do you think the cot complete with mozzie net is for one of those creepy reborn dolls?

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 28/02/2014 19:48

I love these. I love other people's eccentricities. Thanks OP Smile

Lottiedoubtie · 28/02/2014 19:48

If I could afford the asking price plus

  1. to decorate everywhere- some horrible paint in evidence.
  2. To hire a cleaner for a lot of hours a week.
  3. To hire a gardener also for lots of hours

AND I could guarantee the current owners were taking all of their hideous furniture with them.

Then I'd buy it- potentially a really beautiful house.

babyfedleaning · 28/02/2014 19:50

Maybe the strange antique pram behind the umbrella is for the re-born's daytime naps...

OP posts:
CalamitouslyWrong · 28/02/2014 19:54

I like how the gold coffee table in the living room matches the one in the bathroom. Continuity and all that.

And the lime green bedroom. I bet they didn't find that in F&B.

LoveVintage · 28/02/2014 20:18

Wowsers is the word that came to me too. Some of the decor is not to my taste (tactful) but it is a fab house.

CheckpointCharlie · 28/02/2014 20:22

The bathroom! Schmazing.
