Wow, I love it. It's got the forever home feel.

reindeesandchristmastrees · 28/02/2014 20:26

It is also in a beautiful town, far enough up the hill to be flood proof! If I could ever move back yo Shrewsbury I'd have it!

expatinscotland · 28/02/2014 20:26

God, that is fugly and expensive.

WorrySighWorrySigh · 28/02/2014 20:30

It is a trifle sudden

Devora · 28/02/2014 21:55

Wow, what a beautiful house! And the decor made me laugh - reference to other thread, at least it's not bland!

Round here, you can buy a 3 bed semi for that price.

Kikibee · 28/02/2014 22:28

They don't appear keen on gardening

LongTailedTit · 28/02/2014 22:59

Oh my goodness - once all that gaudy tat's gone, that's my absolute ideal home. The garden even has a rill FGS! Gorgeous. Am actually jealous. Envy

legoqueen · 01/03/2014 08:45

That is an amazing house in a great location - love Shrewsbury!

Jbck · 01/03/2014 10:30

Am I the only one who thinks it'll look a bit sad and empty once all the shiny stuff is removed Grin

Stunning house but I dn't know if I have the decorative eye to do it justice.

Rooners · 01/03/2014 19:16

I like picture 6's colour scheme. Dark blue and sort of orange.

We have the lampshade they have got in picture 2. (the giant pink one)

Nice house from the outside I have to say. Bit odd within.

HazeltheMcWitch · 01/03/2014 19:34

I think the house is amazing! It's been lived in and loved, rather than developed for magnolia/shades of grey-based profit. I love the personal touches and the idiosyncrasies.

And the garden isn't neglected - how very dare you! Reading the brochure, there's 2.3 acres of land - they've just not kept that formal bit all manicured. Not sure why they had that as the garden shot - so that possible buyers could spot the potential of returning it back to a more formulaic grandeur?

beaglesaresweet · 01/03/2014 21:32

what a perfectly proportioned house, and in a beautiful setting!

I think the colours are erm not bad, just the taste in furniture a bit painful!

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 02/03/2014 12:49

Gosh those people know what they like don't they. I can imagine the faces of the removal men Grin
But good on them, they've certainly put their own stamp on it for sure. Buying presents for that family would be an absolute joy and if inspiration failed you could always get them another mosquito net Wink

I wonder where they're going to and what kind of houses are on their short list.
