I love this house!

It's not often I like new builds but I love this one I spotted near me. It's new but it's not the run of the mill new build and has got IMO some character and charm to it. I'm drooling at the kitchen.

Can someone buy it for me please Thanks

Absolutely my type of house...stunning stunning stunning

MmeLindor · 03/01/2014 18:56

Going to be picky (cause at that price, you would be) and say that I don't like the tiles. I do like the house though.

The dark grey is pretty much the same as our hall.

Mrsladybirdface · 03/01/2014 18:57

I didn't read your post...its NEW!!!!!?? Even better...look at the EPC rating drools

ReastieYuleANBU · 03/01/2014 19:03

I know Mrslady - I had to reread the new build thing on the literature several times as I love it so much and I usually don't like new builds. The stuff they've put in is all stuff that I would love to choose myself. It's like it's been built just for me

Your right it's stunning - if they would knock 2 million off I might consider it Grin

MmeLindor · 03/01/2014 19:06

I think the reason it works so well, is that it looks old, iyswim.

vestandknickers · 03/01/2014 19:11

Wow. Its massive. Not loving the dead dog in pic 10, but it is an amazing house. As you've asked so nicely I'll buy it for you when I win the lottery.

Twooter · 03/01/2014 19:18

They could have at least put a wood burner in , rather than a few lumps of wood in an alcove.

ZakuroFujiwara · 03/01/2014 19:21

This is not far from me and I have lusted after it for a while...but it has been on the market for a good while and looks like it is grander than the road it's on IYSWIM so think it must be over-priced for the location. LOVE the look of it though and would definitely view it if I won the lottery!

KrabbyPatty · 03/01/2014 19:25

I LOVE everything about it, and I never say that and I don't like new builds.

ReastieYuleANBU · 03/01/2014 19:26

Zakuro do you think they'd take offers then if it's been on the market a while I'm thinking 400k would be our limit Grin . I've just been sitting staring at the pictures Blush

Krabby I know! Me too!

ZakuroFujiwara · 03/01/2014 19:31

£400k? Definitely ;-) I'm the same as you...I feel like it was built JUST for me. Amazing house.

Rowlers · 03/01/2014 19:35

Nice although I agree with Twooter re logs / lack of fireplace. Why do that?

you are all wrong - it was definitely built specifically for me! I love it.

Kitttty · 03/01/2014 20:04

Really like it - but it looks a bit close to the footballers house next door....agree don't like the expanse of fake flagstone flooring or the road kill - but the rest of it I love....all the different quirky staircases, colours etc - not sure that an original Georgian house would have a stuck on porch?

Lagoonablue · 03/01/2014 20:28

Don't like it. I like old houses or new houses that are modern and interesting, not built to recreate the past.

ReastieYuleANBU · 03/01/2014 20:46

I was so busy imagining myself at the window seat in picture 10 I didn't even notice the road kill!

Gorgeous

MissBetseyTrotwood · 03/01/2014 20:52

I know that road really, really well - often walk it with the dog. All the plots are large and used to have 3 or 4 bed family houses on them. They're all being knocked down (perfectly good homes) and people are building huuuuge mega houses right up to the boundaries on either side. I'd go for decent size house and massive garden myself.

That house is lovely though. The views from up there are cracking and you're just near a good station. There are one or two lovely ones of the new sort but most are mock Tudor or footballers wivesy like the one next door!

MichaelFinnigan · 03/01/2014 20:55

Externally the proportion is all wrong. It's nodding towards classicism but misses

ReastieYuleANBU · 03/01/2014 21:02

missbetsey you're right. I just realised exactly which road it's on and I drove down it the other day and thought exactly that. It's really close to those god awful footballers wives houses on the hill isn't it . I still love it though!

I like it, the upper kitchen shelves are wrong, they need glass doors. I would live there if I had a very good cleaner who came regularly.

Mintyy · 03/01/2014 21:13

No, I don't like fakes.

I would far rather have a stunning modern house.
