We are waiting for our valuer to decide whether to give us a mortgage for a property which doesnt have subsidence, but he thought did. We made the offer in March, subsidence was expected immediately, and we have commissioned reports which show no problem, and estimates for builders to repair cracks. Apparently he now wants our estimate for £800 of work broken down into more detail. Our mortgage providers are narked off as well waiting for him. Jobsworth ... rant rant. Our sellers want to put the house back on the market as it is taking so long, our buyers are losing patience, and my baby will be popping out in the removals van at this rate.

There are a few waiting threads on here tonight, so I thought we could share in our impatience together. What are you waiting for?

Waiting for surveyor to turn up to do valuation, between 12 and 4. Soon would be nice, as opposed to 3.59pm.

Waiting for someone to view my apartment - it's been for sale for 4 weeks... :)

WireCat · 11/06/2013 12:09

Our offered has been declined.
We will offer more, but the bungalow they were wanting has gone.

Misty9 · 12/06/2013 08:23

Our offer was declined too wirecat and so was the counter offer :(

We're going to look at a few more properties to help us decide if this one is really worth going massively over budget for...

Good luck to you on yours

The vendor has decided to go to final bids tomorrow. We'd offered asking price, so I guess other people did too. We offered first though!

Eastpoint · 13/06/2013 17:46

Someone else offered more so we didn't get the house.

LaurieFairyCake · 13/06/2013 17:50

Waiting for someone to put their house on the market so I can buy it (mortgage and sale already sorted).

Waiting for lovely elderly man to accept our realistic offer on his house.

  1. waiting for complete on old flat
  2. waiting 6 weeks for offer to be accepted on buy to let house
  3. waiting 2 months for planning to be granted on extension to our house
  4. waiting for shower enclosure to arrive - 6 weeks to order, wtf!
  5. waiting to see if dd will get pkace for sept in new school near new house

Waiting for estate agent to come on Monday to get the ball rolling.

Turnipinatutu · 14/06/2013 17:46

Waiting for a house to appear on the market that we could buy.
Actually even the odd one worth viewing would be good.
Failing that, waiting for the people who own the house we love to get real about their asking price!

After three weeks, the vendors agreed to get an independent building surveyor to inspect and report on the foundations of an extension that didn't get building regs sign-off... But now I have to wait for that to actually happen. It's booked for Wednesday...
