Hmm, think the Agent may be over-egging the pudding slightly on this one

Clearly not that stunning as they've got so few pictures up! Rooms look a nice size though.... and plenty of space!

Seven bedrooms? It's like Mary Poppins handbag.

Karbea · 05/02/2013 22:19

There's only one bathroom and that's an ensuite, would be hellish in the mornings!

redandwhitesprinkles · 05/02/2013 22:22

There are not enough reception rooms for the number of bedrooms.

Cezzy · 05/02/2013 22:28

I have often doubted estate agents taste of style

DivineInspiration · 06/02/2013 10:17

To be fair, it's an exceptionally large house for that price in London. And it has several cloakrooms which could feasibly be converted to small shower rooms, as could the utility room.

"Truly stunning" not, though.

wewereherefirst · 06/02/2013 10:24

It's a big house and very well priced for London, but stunning it is not!

Lollybrolly · 06/02/2013 10:31

Nothing wrong with it but Stunning it is not!! Just fairly ordinarty imo.

FlouncingMintyy · 06/02/2013 13:06

And so few photos. What about the garden? I expect its a postage stamp.

Ha ha ha

Mintyy, you're not considering Norbury are you?

specialsubject · 06/02/2013 13:10

there are two bathrooms (one an ensuite) and a toilet. Pity they couldn't be bothered to tidy up...

it is also near to a very busy road and that railway line. But it is a lot of house for the money. Wonder why?

FlouncingMintyy · 06/02/2013 13:11

Oh don't know Levantine Sad.

Poor ds (yr 4 atm) really does not want to go to an all boys school and we have no choice where we are.

Was thinking of trying to move towards Dunraven and that funny house came up while I was browsing.

orangepudding · 06/02/2013 13:13

That's cheap, wonder what's wrong with it!

MechanicalTheatre · 06/02/2013 13:15

The decor isn't great, but it has fireplaces and a massive living room window.

Must be something seriously wrong with it to be that cheap in London though.

GreenEggsAndNichts · 06/02/2013 13:15

I do wonder how we must confuse EAs when we all all go to look at these links. Sure maybe only 15 of us respond to the post, but well more than that will click the link and decide not to post. Meanwhile, EA is sitting there, checking how many hits the properties have had, and is probably thinking "wow we sure have a lot of interest in this one!" Maybe they'll have an open house now. :)

(I love looking at these random properties btw, this wasn't a complaint! What's up with the camera angle in the master bed??)

JaneLane · 06/02/2013 13:17

They'll probably just have copied the description over from another house and not realised. When we were selling a flat a few years ago now we noticed our estate agent had used exactly the same description for our flat as another one they were selling in the same development.

LIZS · 06/02/2013 13:17

They could have made the beds properly ! not much kerb appeal

ChooChooLaverne · 06/02/2013 13:22

"Must be something seriously wrong with it to be that cheap in London though."

It's in Norbury.

TheReturnoftheSmartArse · 06/02/2013 13:22

I'm surprised Streatham's so expensive.

This one is £900k but looks as though it needs some serious updating.

MechanicalTheatre · 06/02/2013 13:22

Pfff, Norbury's not THAT bad.

FlouncingMintyy · 06/02/2013 13:23

I wonder about that basement ... wonder if it was a bit of a diy job!

And, yes, I have the same thought about the agent too Greeneggs Grin

OP posts:
MechanicalTheatre · 06/02/2013 13:24

SmartArse that one is LOVELY though, look at the size of it!

Sofas are grim though.

TheReturnoftheSmartArse · 06/02/2013 13:25

I suppose so. I've just never though of Streatham has being that lovely, but I'm clearly very out of touch!

Actually, I say it needs updating ... it looks as though it could do with a new kitchen but the rest is probably just cosmetic.
