Hmm, think the Agent may be over-egging the pudding slightly on this one

Ooooh I love that £900k one. The floor in the hallway is stupendous.

I'll have a look under the sofa cushions for the shortfall!

Don't think there's much going on in Streatham, really, but you're just down the road from Brixton so you do get some skint trendy people there.

almostanotherday · 06/02/2013 13:31

Would love just to view the inside just too see how they managed to get 7 bedrooms in.

Marcheline · 06/02/2013 13:33

We sold DH's flat in Streatham through that agent, a few years ago. I'm not surprised by that description, based on how useless they were when we dealt with them.

We had to live in the flat for 6 months while we refurbished / sold it and it was hideous. I would never recommend living in Streatham.

Levantine · 06/02/2013 13:35

You want Streatham Hill then, which is nice imo - or at least very good for transport. Blu is the expert on this!

There are no mixed comps in our neck of the woods are there Sad

It is cheap because it is in Norbury. Honest.

Floweryhat · 06/02/2013 13:41

Tbh it looks pretty stunning by my standards. V large, big rooms, nice outside, gardens. Mind you, it's about double what we could afford, both in size and price. Maybe not that stunning to those witth £500k spare Hmm

MechanicalTheatre · 06/02/2013 13:47

Yeah Flowery, I live in a basement, so really anything above ground looks palatial to me.

FlouncingMintyy · 06/02/2013 13:55

Where did you see the gardens FloweryHat? I was really curious about the garden but couldn't see a picture.

TheReturnoftheSmartArse · 06/02/2013 14:02

Rest assured, it is 3x what I could afford anyway! But I just thought it seemed expensive bearing in mind it is in Streatham and needs updating.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound unkind but really didn't express myself properly.

Floweryhat · 06/02/2013 14:03

There isn't a picture. But it does have a garden, which was my point. I actually do think it looks an amazing house.

Floweryhat · 06/02/2013 14:05

When you say updating...?

It's hardly needing stripping back to the bare walls is it? The living room is more than habitable, and the bedrooms look fine too. I would be happy to move in to a house in that state of repair.

I don't think you sound unkind, it's OK Smile.

mrspink27 · 06/02/2013 14:06

They havent even made the beds properly on the first one...

Floweryhat · 06/02/2013 14:08

Yeah, and will the beds even be there when the new owner moves in? It's the house you buy Grin

wewereherefirst · 06/02/2013 14:18

But most of us have to live with the decor for a bit Wink

I thought St Retham was one of those up and coming places?

ChooChooLaverne · 06/02/2013 14:41

But it's not in Streatham, it's in Norbury. Totally different kettle of fish.

FlouncingMintyy · 06/02/2013 15:30

I'm not really sure where Norbury is. Is it between Streatham and Croydon?

OP posts:
LIZS · 06/02/2013 15:37

yes roughly speaking

FlouncingMintyy · 06/02/2013 15:41

Oh
