If I had four million squid, I'd be buying this. I don't think it gets much better.

oreocrumbs · 24/05/2012 20:43

But would your DH live there?

Perhaps in the intrest of your marriage, if you get 4 million quid, you should buy ME that house and I will let you visit anytime you like Grin.

Hows your new bundle of gorgeousness getting on?

Rhubarbgarden · 24/05/2012 21:07

Oh he likes this one! He always likes the ones we can't afford. Hmm We peeped through the hedge at it ages ago while trundling round Blackheath, and fell in lust. I just found out my window cleaner does their windows and he told me it was up for sale.

New bundle has v bad colic and is proving to be something of a challenge Sad. He's got great hair though Smile.

Rhubard You must live near me... Wink We are in Lee, going to have to make a drive around there to try and spot this one, never seen it before! I love it. I love a garden that doesn't look too 'clean', with nooks and crannies to hide in...

oreocrumbs · 24/05/2012 21:53

Have you thought about a very cheeky offer?

Poor little fella, DD had bad colic too I remember it well. Have you tried Colief? That was the best I found for her. Hope it passes quickly for him.

This is what I'm lusting after up my way. Middle of nowhere though!

angel1976 · 24/05/2012 21:54

Do you think they will take a very cheeky offer of £500,000? Grin

oreocrumbs · 24/05/2012 21:56

Weellll, perhaps Grin

angel1976 · 24/05/2012 23:07

But then again, perhaps not even £500,000... Bah humbug! Maybe we could all add up our 50 pence coins together?

RCheshire · 24/05/2012 23:17

If you had 4m would you live in Blackheath though? I quite like there and Greenwich (Park, centre etc) but with that sort of money wouldn't want to be stuck in London.
I'd probably choose a stunning place on the Cornish coast for a couple of mil, buy a 500k flat in London or Bristol for when the Cornish winter nights draw in, and live off ~4k per month the remaining 1.5m would be paying me in interest!

oreocrumbs · 24/05/2012 23:27

I have 37p and something fluffy I'd rather not examine to closely to add to the kitty Confused....Will that get me a part share?

oreocrumbs · 24/05/2012 23:28

RC did you view that gorgeous house with the barn? I've been thinking about that house!

RCheshire · 24/05/2012 23:37

No, not yet. It's still on the cards through! (sadly, although I've just committed to spending the 400m I seem to have mislaid it...)

Rhubarbgarden · 25/05/2012 07:51

Ooh Oreo that is gorgeous! Northumberland too - I love it up there.

RC that is a fine plan. I think I'd budget for a small Cessna too and for flying lessons for myself to complete the pilot's licence I ran out of money for years ago, then I could fly DH to work (he'd get bored at home all day). Where's the link to your barn conversion then? [nosy].

Angel I don't live in Blackheath unfortunately. I just buy my cat food there. And lust after houses.

OP posts:
Rhubarbgarden · 25/05/2012 07:55

Going to get some Colief today, lots of people recommended it and infacol not helping.

OP posts:
RCheshire · 25/05/2012 09:15

It's a difficult thing to deal with - Infacol, Colief, more breast milk, less breast milk, formula, mum stops having dairy etc...glad it's only a memory now! Good luck.

This is the one Oreo meant (altho you've seen it) which was 499 for the house or 699 with the barn (200 for the barn is a lot given no planning):

Or, given the thread title (& within my modest budget) a couple more:

oreocrumbs · 25/05/2012 09:47

Another nice selection there RC. The house with barn is still my favourite though Smile.

In descending order I would pick
House 1
House 3
House 2.

Actually I would love to be in your shoes and looking at any of them Grin.

Rhubarb you are a little bit fabulous aren't you - " I don't live in Blackheath. I just buy cat food there". Grin

GnocchiNineDoors · 25/05/2012 09:56

WAG-Tastic anyone? vile.

more my kind of home

RCheshire · 25/05/2012 10:07

First one utterly vile, second one stunning

oreocrumbs · 25/05/2012 10:12

Ooh Gnocchi the second one is lovely.

Just think whoever had the money to buy house one , could buy some taste and buy house 2 and the house I linked in morpeth!! Grin

The first house looks like a nightclub. I don't care how big and brash a house is, I really don't believe a house in the North east will sell for nearly 7mil Shock.

GnocchiNineDoors · 25/05/2012 10:13

It'll only go to Newcastle United's next new signing. No 'normal job' oerson would buy it.

oreocrumbs · 25/05/2012 10:16

Grin I thought they all went to Darras Hall? I have had another look and have decided I'm a bit fascinated with the orbs over the staircase. I think they would look really nice in my pub!

typicalvirgo · 25/05/2012 11:25

I'll eat my hat if that one on Runnymede sells at that price. I lived on that road, and whilst yes, expensive, they have never been that kind of price.

have to say I do like the kitchen though

Rhubarbgarden · 25/05/2012 16:52

RC those are all lovely. I agree with Oreo that the barn one has the edge. It's gorgeous.

Gnocchi - from eye-poppingly awful to eye-poppingly beautiful! I SO want that stately home.

Sorry the cat food thing makes me sound a bit twattish. I'd love to live in Blackheath - if I did I wouldn't be so keen to leave London!

I've just booked to go and look at this place. What do you think?

OP posts:
RCheshire · 25/05/2012 17:54

That one is beautiful. I can't believe you can get a house like that in Godalming for a guide of 1m.

RCheshire · 25/05/2012 17:56

this is too expensive and needs doing up...lovely setting though..

Rhubarbgarden · 25/05/2012 21:01

Oh yes lovely setting. Less keen on the house than the others though.
