would anyone like to say something about why it's a good thing that i can't afford it Smile

There's pine cladding on the kitchen ceiling.

oreocrumbs · 11/05/2012 10:22

Erm...erm...erm..., some of the wallpaper is questionable.

Crikey thats a lovely house! Have a really good luck behind those cushions, dig deep dear Grin

oreocrumbs · 11/05/2012 10:23

That would be look not luck Hmm

WitchOfEndor · 11/05/2012 10:23

Buying curtains for that length drop is very very expensive.

That's all I got.

Katz · 11/05/2012 10:24

why would the EA include the picture of the alligator/crocodile!

Sinkingfeeling · 11/05/2012 10:24

Too many bedrooms to clean? Amazing house, great location - annoying that Property News never have floorplans though.

RhiRhi123 · 11/05/2012 10:24

The cream carpets would get flithy :o

whyme2 · 11/05/2012 10:25

That is a lot of house to clean < slattern >

SquirtedPerfumeUpNoseInBoots · 11/05/2012 10:32

Theres a vase of twigs in the bathroom?

Beautiful house.

goingtoofast · 11/05/2012 10:33

Too many windows to clean....

Gorgeous house but I would worry that with three kids it would feel like hard work to maintain and wouldn't feel like home.

thefurryone · 11/05/2012 10:35

oreocrumbs I think luck is actually pretty appropriate for what I need when I look behind the cushions Grin

Katz I think they might be trying to show off the lovely window.

You're all right though it's just not worth the amount of time I'd have to spend hoovering.

I can't get the link to open. Bah. I want to play!

tumbleweedblowing · 11/05/2012 10:42

I think it would be really dangerous to have small children and a crocodile in the same house.

Rindercella · 11/05/2012 10:42

Absolutely stunning house. But just imagine how much it'd cost to furnish it Shock

oreocrumbs · 11/05/2012 10:42

Rhubarb its right up your street. Even your DH would like this one!!

happywheezer · 11/05/2012 10:47

Go and have a look at it- just to be nosy

Popoozle · 11/05/2012 10:49

High ceilings - you'd never be able to reach the cobwebs Wink.

hanahsaunt · 11/05/2012 10:49

It's a very disappointing kitchen (aga notwithstanding). It's not just a house, it's a lifestyle with that sort of house - staff definitely required.

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 11/05/2012 10:52

It's a bit frou frou for my liking (does that help?).

typicalvirgo · 11/05/2012 10:52

The statues in the garden will give you nightmares and the swags in the curtains hold years worth of dust >

Other than that its lovely.

thefurryone · 11/05/2012 10:52

happywheezer my current house is about the same size as the maid's pantry and we can't afford to move for at least another 2 1/2 years, I don't think I could cope if I got there and liked it even more.

hannahsaunt I do agree about the kitchen, I was a bit underwhelmed when I got to that photo, the second kitchen actually is actually a lot more pleasing.

Ooh it works now - yes Oreo you are right, it's gorgeous! I want to see pictures of the garden though. And does it have a lake? That's quite important y'know.

kilmuir · 11/05/2012 10:54

yes kitchen bit naff but otherwise very niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

afussyphase · 11/05/2012 12:01

um, it's probably really drafty and maybe it has damp? Rooms with such high ceilings are hard to heat so it'd be cold? yes to curtains being expensive, expensive to furnish, dust .. hmph. that's all I've got.

mylovelymonster · 11/05/2012 12:26

It is lovely - lots of window, light and spacious. You will need to raid the charity tins to furnish it, and the upkeep of housekeeper/cook vair expensive.
It's Friday - get a Euromillions ticket. That should do it.

Insufficient land for me - where to put the croquet lawn/tennis court/pony paddock/summer pavillion???????

Rhubarb - your DH would loathe it outright. Totally wrong era. Keep looking x Smile
