I'm not sure I'd pay £500k for a 3 bedroom flat. Especially not when you can have a nice house for that money. For example, this or this. Or, you could go up the A1 a bit and get this or this.

Only two properties came up for exactly where I live,

this two bedroom terrace, rather uninspiring and small, pass it everyday, only reason it costs so much is the location,

and

this 4 bed terrace

Not exactly what I would get excited about. But I only searched for houses exactly on £500k

I like this for £375,000

It may be fab inside (and it is), but I'd still refuse to pay half a million for a 3 bedroom flat in Newcastle. Especially one in such a bloody ugly block.

DH says that he would definitely buy this if he had a spare £750k.

This is surprisingly cheap for Cobham but then it does appear to have an entrance door from the ground floor into its master bedroom

So, given the shocking prices in Cobham, Weybridge & the surrounding areas, I moved from there to where you can buy something like this or this one which I love (although would be a major compromise for me in terms of space & garden).

I just couldn't move back to Surrey now - I can't afford it value my space too much!
