Super small bath tub...

We have a shower room (shower cubicle fitted) which we would like to convert to a bathroom (shower over bath). It's not quite big enough for a standard bath so we're looking at baths shorter than 1200mm and narrower than 750mm. Has anyine ever fitted/used a tub this size? What's it like? Would you prefer it to just a shower?
We've seen these on the web:
www.omnitub.co.uk/index.html
The smaller Solo is probably about the right size - but I've never seen one in the flesh.
I've heard of small Japanese tubs but can't find a stockist - help!

We've had one of these and absolutely love the luxury of sitting in shoulder high water. Very swish too. Japanese can't get much better than that,

I have one!
Yes I realised the date, but I'll post a pic anyway

That’s gorgeous! Does it work as a shower? How hard is it to get in and out of?

pepperjack · 21/11/2018 22:03

I just have a hand held shower on the side.
It's actually in my utility and gets used for the dog and my son loves it too! It's ok to get out of, but with hindsight I should have built a step up to it or set it lower in the floor.

i have just bought an omnitub! pm me if you'd like to see a pic ( of me in it in the warehouse in weston super mare!) x

Igletpiglet · 21/11/2018 22:11

agree u3a & pepperjack, it was a total nightmare trying to find any pics of these online. sod the zombie factor, it's useful to post these for people searching!

Voila! An omnitub Solo Plus, where the magic happens, in Weston-super-mare . Jim, who makes these, is absolutely lovely. Mine is arriving today so I can’t vouch for longevity but Jim would put you in touch with a convert who happily offers to let you sit in their Omnitub.
I’ll try and post a pic of the duo.

Awesome! I have been searching forever for a picture that would give me a proper idea of scale and depth, that's perfect.

You look lovely, btw.

Igletpiglet · 22/11/2018 09:37

This is one of the Duos, sorry, I can’t remember which. For MsRinky xx

Thank you !

This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for and the Japanese style baths from Omnitub look awesome. I am really considering this as others I have found are not as deep and I’m not sure about the step on some of the hip baths.

If anyone has installed one since this post I’d love to hear feedback!

ItsLikeRain · 03/12/2018 23:20

Following! Having this exact problem right now. Thanks so much to the people who’ve revived this zombie, especially posting pictures, really helpful.
