grrrr i cant paint a wall without it being patchy, any help??

its driving me mad!!

Geordie... I used the homebase one coat stuff in the utility and downstairs loo and it absolutely needed 2 coats. Went from cream to stone in one room and cream to terracotta in the other

I'm painting out s raspberry red wall that was only done last month, 2 coats of magnolia so far and I can still see bloody red....
