Wales: Anywhere in West Pembrokeshire, ideally between Solva and Strumble Head.

England: North Norfolk coast. Rye, Kent.

Scotland: Mull, Iona

Never been to Northern Ireland Sad and know Ireland is not the UK but can't leave out: coast of County Cork, Clonakilty or Skibbereen

Very weird - I thought I'd double posted!

Bantham Beach in Devon - or Treyarnon Bay in Corwall, but my DS's godparents have houses there so I will have to make do with that for now!
I love the North Norfolk coast too - and the area around Durdle Door. Oooh - Applecross Bay is absolutely stunning - if you could get rid of the midgies I would be there in a flash!

Anywhere in South Wales. Cardiff is within easy reach of the Heritage Coast (much underrated) and Swansea is in easy reach of the Gower. Add to that Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. North Wales is gorgeous, but inaccessible.

Here in Pembrokeshire

Pommepoire, have you even been along the mayo coast? Try Ballina and surrounding bays , not only will you think you are in a different country put perhaps a different world, if you do chance to visit the north of Ireland then the Antrim coast, the north coast and Strangford lough are a must see.

WorzselMummage · 12/02/2011 20:58

Dorset, somewhere.

Or south Wales.

PommePoire · 14/02/2011 22:19

Thank you, conculainey. No, I haven't been to Mayo...yet, your's is such a beautiful country!

Isle of Wight. Having grown up there, but since lived in Cornwall, Devon and Wales, I would always always recommend it.
