Everything a penny?

Hi, I’ve recently stumbled across a site called everything a penny, where everything is a penny, obviously. They just make you pay for shipping which usually equals what you’d expect to pay for the items but a bit cheaper, however they’re doing a Black Friday deal which means you only pay so much for so many items. For example, they have 5 items for £5 shipping. They sell lots of different things including phones, one of which I looked would normally be over £300 shipping but now I can get it in the £5 shipping deal, surely this is too good to be true right?

Has anyone used this site? It seemed believable before but now that deal seems beyond ridiculous

Still dont believe it tbh... Its christmas next week and they were promising xmas delivery for orders from 2 weeks ago but cant deliver on orders from way over a month ago

GlitterToast · 18/12/2019 13:15

I'm sorry, but a photo of a toy proves nothing. You need to photograph the box/ packing slip, or something

Adelbedford · 18/12/2019 13:25

I dont know why my friend would lie 🤷‍♀️ and I'm not going to message her accusing her of lying I just thought I'd share what I've been told and show you 🤷‍♀️ I'm waiting on orders myself

Adelbedford · 18/12/2019 13:26

Mine said 20-25days I'm assuming that's working days its through PayPal so if it doesnt show up I'll just raise a claim

Rovemongoose123 · 18/12/2019 13:43

Yeah...I’m not convinced either

CameraTime · 18/12/2019 13:45

A website offering stuff for 1p, refusing to accept credit or debit cards, and blocking people on Facebook is not going to turn out to be genuine.

Do not send money via bank transfer. If you do that, they have your bank details. From there, they may eventually be able to get into your account and clear it out. It's not worth the risk.

A genuine company will accept credit and debit cards.

Lisamaz1994 · 18/12/2019 14:07

@CameraTime they did accept debit card originally which is how I got my money back from the bank. But then they changed it to direct bank transfer and Klarna. The bank said if enough people raise complaints then VISA will look into it and shut it down. Far too many people scammed already though

Lisamaz1994 · 18/12/2019 14:13

Also that play mat is sold on WISH and amazon so no proof still it came from everything a penny

Rosepetals30 · 18/12/2019 14:42

Lol Adel your pal hasn’t received them honestly Grin

Adelbedford · 18/12/2019 17:24

Not sure why she would message me about it and lie 🤷‍♀️

Lisamaz1994 · 18/12/2019 17:29

Deffo not legit😂 no way are you receiving anything

Mumma1998 · 18/12/2019 20:23

@Adelbedford try asking your mate to send you the confirmation email of the ball pit and all the other items

Lisamaz1994 · 19/12/2019 09:49

I really dont think anyone should be holding out any hope... They need to get in touch with their banks and report this website. And post some bad reviews on trustpilot so others dont order from then

Trowman28 · 19/12/2019 12:14

I’ve also never received my order which was due on the 16th December, emailed them on both emails and Facebook and no response. I’m hoping as I paid by credit card I’m able to claim this back.

Rhiannamay1 · 20/12/2019 13:45

Ordered from here and never received anything, luckily paid through pay pal so I can get my money back. They replied to my emails once and haven’t replied since, tried to message them on Facebook and had nothing back.

In all fairness the original confirmation said it would be delivered by December 23rd, it said I was sent out December 5th but when I click on the tracking it says it’s not been sent out. I’ve had no updates like I was promised and not had a reply to my email after I challenged why the shipping dates seem to just be taking longer and longer every time I check the tracking, the date keeps getting put back.

Please don’t put an order in, mine was only £5.08 and I don’t mind too much if it’s a scam, but it really does seem like one

If you look on trust pilot it doesn't look good. I've had no reply from them regarding my order.

BlackWhitePurple · 20/12/2019 18:29

Thing is, it may only be a fiver, but those divers add up which makes it worthwhile for the scammers to try it. By "giving it a go" you're giving them money to keep going.

Plus claiming it back from your bank/PayPal means that other people are losing out as a result.

Rovemongoose123 · 21/12/2019 03:41

Got my money back from PayPal 👍

Rhiannamay1 · 21/12/2019 09:01

@Rovemongoose123 did you get the whole lot of money back including postage or just the pennies from the items? 😌

Rovemongoose123 · 21/12/2019 10:29

Whole lot

rid1985 · 22/12/2019 16:27

@Adelbedford. Is your name based on your real name I.e. Adel Bedford? Or is it based on where you live? I.e. in Bedford? Only reason I ask is if it is the latter, then you conveniently live about 5 miles away from Cambridge, which is ironically where the money taken from my credit card went to! If you or anyone from the company Everythingapenny.com is reading this. I have reported you to Lego head office who are peeved that you’re ‘selling’ their stock for a penny. I have also spoken with a company that you were using their email address of to gather PayPal payments, I have also reported you to shopify and to tucows. I will also be reporting you to the fraud division of the met police!
