Is it just my daughters school, or are loo rolls now generally forbidden as art materials because they are unhygenic?

yes Feenie I saw that you mentioned toothbrushes.

I was wonderign where you kept yours? Or where you would if you lived in my house? We have a small bathroom and err, the alternative would be our bedroom? Not very practical.

Agree with coupleofkooks

We are all pretty healthy here despite disgusting toilet-toothbrushes. Nobody's had a day off school for 4 years. Maybe will leave them where they are then

Have a separate toilet and bathroom. Simples.

it is a myth - The health and safety executive has it in their website as a myth from 1997. It says if toilet rolls and egg boxes look clean then they are ok to use:

Myth: Egg boxes are banned in craft lessons as they might cause salmonella
