Brought Kingston practically to a standstill.
My dh was particularly infuriated by the children clutching verbal reasoning papers- why?
Dear God.

Surely the difference between Hampton and Tiffin are related to one being fee paying and without some of the constraints a state school has to operate under? They can afford better resources including more teachers and with better qualifications who I know also provide additional support to the children who need it. The boys from my son's class who are at Hampton all tried for Tiffin and did not get in. Majority were by no means exceptional academically and they are presumably going to make up some of those large percentages at A Level.

And let's not forget the hours of homework they get each night instead of the infamous 'independent study'!!

WOW!!! YEAR 2014 and things are the same... In the queue @ Tiffin Boys yesterday... madness! One way system inside the school, could not move. DS wasn't impressed. Left just before started to rain. Felt sorry for the hundreds of children waiting to get in.

My dd grammar is the most unselective of the lot lol but came 10th in the country for results.
Have girls and move to the coast!

Is it really that brilliant?? Surely if they just select those that score in the highest 0 .05 % or something, they blimming well should get outstanding results.

I had a look at their performance measures. They have hardly any kids with SEN and far fewer than they should from disadvantaged backgrounds. Which suggests they are not tapping likely high attainers but rather high achievers.
