Ds2's play is apparently called "The Tivverty".

In the song about the Three Kings "Frankie says a myrrh" but ds2 has no idea who Frankie is.

LyraSilvertongue · 27/11/2007 23:47

All the children in DS2's nursery class today were singing
"Glad tidings we bring to you and your king"
Quite a common mistake I suppose.

HairyIrene · 28/11/2007 00:00

not christmassy nor caroley

ds sings

johnny will have a new mazda

EmsMum · 28/11/2007 00:02

DD rather flashily has a 'one horse golden sleigh'

Hallgerda · 28/11/2007 08:03

EmsMum, would that be Blingle Bells?

LunarSea · 09/12/2007 23:43

ds1's version of Away in a Manger includes the line "the cattle are glowing".

Saturn74 · 09/12/2007 23:46

"deep pan, crisp and even"

JingEllBells · 10/12/2007 00:09

DD1's nativity play last year was called (according to her) 'Gold, Frankenstein and Myrrh'.

She also famously used to sing: 'Dashing through the snow / On a microwave'

And: 'Away in a manger / No crypt for a bed'

madamez · 10/12/2007 00:12

Gladly, the cross-eyed bear...

RosaLuxMundi · 10/12/2007 00:16

DD3 believes that 'the cattle are glowing'.
Too sweet to correct.

JingEllBells · 10/12/2007 00:38

That'll be because of the microwaves, Rosa (and LunarSea).

Carbonel · 10/12/2007 11:09

Ds insists it is 'Little Law Jesus"

reminds me of Judge Dredd

BettySpaghetti · 10/12/2007 11:16

One Christmas DD kept talking about Lodgy and was getting really cross when we didn't know what she was on about.

Then one day it all became clear when we heard her singing:

"Away in a manger, no crib for a bed
The little Lodgy lay down his sweet head"

PussinWellies · 10/12/2007 11:38

At our school last year the Angels 'gave Grapes to God'.

pinklipstick · 10/12/2007 11:40

"the cattle are glowing,
the baby awakes."

lenny101 · 10/12/2007 11:49

Sister used to sing

"Round John Virgin, mother and child"

coffeepot · 10/12/2007 13:34

My sister was convinced that the
Angel Gabriel called Mary a
"highly flavoured lady"

Raahh · 10/12/2007 21:09

my ds was 'washing up' the new born king.

I guessed at worship, but maybe he was grubby...

CountessDracula · 10/12/2007 21:16

not really xmas one but we took dd to the sound of music last year and I heard her singing in her bedroom

Oh a deer, an e-mail deer

[grink]

CountessDracula · 10/12/2007 21:16

ffs
grink

chisigirl · 12/12/2007 22:50

"Away in a manger...
Two quid for a bed."
