batters, I've been to Crofton (the one in Orpington) and Lullingstone. Lullingstone is grander (it has a mosaic, of which you can buy tea towels), and is closer to other attractions (paddling at Eysford, and also a castle), but I have a soft spot for Crofton partly because of the very ordinary location, and partly because it's not quite so busy and the people in there are happy to answer any number of questions from enthusiastic small children.
