Purple school uniform? Please help me :-)

DD starts senior school in September and I need to source black rugby socks with a purple band on the foldover. She is tiny and the socks they sell are far too big. I'm struggling to find a prep who may have similar uniform. Can anyone suggest a school uniform that might be suitable so I can order the socks only? Thanks

Alas, after all it appears that there are only two schools with these socks and they don't make them smaller than the 3-5 size.

Black socks with purple stripes around the turnover, either with or within a splash of white, are surprisingly common.

I have ordered plain black sports socks in her size and will transfer over the purple turnover.

For those who asked: they did shrink but not nearly enough. I don't have the confidence to reshape the toes as it is important that they fit well and don't rub. I don't want her to stand out (this is very important to her at the moment). Ribbon won't look the same, neither will hand knitted(though thank you very much for the offer).

Of course, you know what will happen now, bombay - you will spend ages transferring over the purple turnover, after spending equally long trying to source the right socks in the right size - and she will immediately have a massive growth spurt and will need the socks in the 3-5 size!

The size and swiftness of the growth spurt will be in exact proportion to the amount of time and effort you have spent to get her the right socks now!

Hot wash and dryer again.

We had this exact problem when my son started rugby - I shrank them by washing in a hot wash and tumble drying
