WUS, CC and KCJS 7+/8+

Starting this thread for those sitting the 7+/8+ for these schools. Have found last few years' threads useful in understanding the process as a newbie; and now that it is our turn, thought we can exchange notes or have an idea of when the dreaded letters/emails arrive!

S999 and Proudmum5, good luck today. There should still be hope and miracles do happen.

Just called CC. All three boys on reserve list have accepted so they are at full capacity. The rest on the reserve list will receive a decline letter tomorrow. Thought those of you who have been waiting like me would want to know.

Thank you NoLongerWorried, not counting on it anymore but if its meant to be, there might be some hope this week from people who get their first choice and who do not return their forms..

Lastmindotcom, so you mean CC only has three boys dropped their offers this year? That's very low number indeed. Hopefully this will give boys on other schools WL better hope.

NoLongerWorried: all of the schools over offer by several places before they even call on the wait list as double or triple offers are not unusual. It's a bit like scheduling a plane journey so they offer on the basis that a number will decline anyway. Extra declines take them into the wait list.

I just called WUS. Two boys off the reserve list and DS was number three....just bad luck...

Sorry to hear that S999. I am sure your DC will thrive at one of the other schools.

S999, don't lose hope, someone might still drop out and you are next. KCJS did not give me any hope either, now hearing CC reserves are already in, chances are very very slim for us also..

Is anyone sitting 8+ in 2017 for these schools?
