Kent test - awaiting results

Anyone else awaiting results? It's driving me mad with the not knowing! How did other peoples children find it? X

Good luck everyone! I don't think the pain will end here even if Dd passes. 14,500 applicants and 4600 places!

Just got the email and it says she has been assessed suitable for admission to a Kent grammar school!!! Grin

She is at a club so doesn't know yet.

I'm chuffed for her as it's what she wanted and she will hopefully be going to a school that I wasn't allowed to go to back in the day as they only accepted boys at the time.

Congrats to you and your DD LumpySpacedPrincess our email arrived at 15.02 and she was assessed suitable for grammar too!! So glad its all done and dusted now.

I'm going to ask about scores at parents evening, which is next week.

Dd burst into tears when I told her, she said she'd wanted to go there since she was in reception. I've just filled in the application form so fingers crossed she gets a place.

My email hasn't arrived still! But I have been and checked online and did has been assessed as suitable for grammar. Yippee! Donee know what he pass threshold was this year yet?

Were you given cat results before the test so you had an idea as to suitability?

Cognitive Ability Tests, I think? We were told how they performed in Verbal, Non Verbal and another one plus an overall score, just to give us an idea about which areas to work on and if they stood a chance.

They did Cats which were a sort of mock at dd's school. She did well but will be really interested to see her full marks xx

DD passed but we can't seem to extract the score from the school and they break up for just over my two weeks tomorrow. Seems ridiculous all this pussy footing around your head teacher to get full score. What if they don't want to let you know? I have sent an email to Kent Admissions but they must be inundated with queries so how do we make a judgement before CAF deadline (considering Kent superselective as OOC) if we have no score?

Will the letter have the scores or will it just be a copy of the email?

Your head / school has the scores. Your letter just says selective or not.

We got a pass here too - but don't get scores from the school until tomorrow - even though it seems loads of other heads have given them out already!

2 down.....2 to go!!

The issue re giving out scores is just ridiculous. Kcc needs to sort it out. It is yet another burden on schools for no discernible benefit. We phoned the school yesterday after 4pm and they gave me the score and the breakdown.
