I have a very nervous dd this morning, wanted to hear other parents thoughts or experiences this week!

Probably Dotty.

Grade boundaries aren't released until tomorrow so even if your dd's papers had returned last week, they couldn't level it (unless they use last years boundaries hoping they don't change this).

Ah I see, ok makes sense. Thanks

I have no idea when DCs school gives out the SATS results. Virtually all the class have their trip to secondary school tomorrow so if it's not today it will be later in the week (or next week).

We don't get our reports until next Tues - i think the SATS results are in them. I've not mentioned it to DD - she seems to have forgotten about it all already. A lot of her class were getting worried about the tests and suspect my DD was 50% Worried and 50% Drama Llama Wink. This year has been strange as she dropped a level in English and then sustained her previous level 4 a/5c and moved from a 4c to 5b in Maths which was her weakest subject. As a July born feel the Comprehension was really tricky for her ( even though she reads loads) and this has resulted in her now hating Comprehension style tests and some elements of English language Sad

We don't get given the reports with results in until Friday although the yr6 teacher told the class yesterday that she'd be getting them today!

Got results in everything apart from teacher assessed 5c or 5b but Teacher assessment a Level 4 for both subjects ...DD got quite upset about her PE report. I was really pleased with her reading Sats score as this was 5b . I think she did not reach her "expected level" given at beginning of year which she is disappointed about. Onwards and upwards though

That's really good smellylittleorange, shame the teacher assessed is lower but I think the test results are what officially 'count'

Thanks witty although I suspect it is Teacher Assessment that takes precedence...it has been a difficult year Dd not been v positive about learning /homework etc also been a bit wilful and stubborn (I deserve privacy don't look in my school folders blah.blah) I'm hoping it.is just hormones and next year will be better for her. I don't think the level 4 was her full potential in English and definitely not what she would have been predicted in year 5 when she was getting 5s but she does have issues with comprehension and writing to task (I think) that have emerged. I hope we can sort these in year 7 . She did really well in the actual tests though which is encouraging.
