We're still waiting on ours. It's less than 2 weeks until the school breaks up (18th july) and I'm sure we had them by the end of June last year. My concern is if they're not out by Tuesday due to the the teachers strike that will only give us a week to organise meetings with the teacher if necessary. I'm not anticipating any problems but DD is in year 2 so I imagine a lot of parents will have questions about levels etc and surely the last week of term will be hectic enough for teachers without being hounded by concerned parents.
Normally I would assume HT had it all under control but ours is fairly new and there have been a number of concerns raised about him, he doesn't seem to be on top of things or particularly organised. So I was wondering if this is normal and I'm just confused about when we got them last year.

Ours came home yesterday

blueberryboybait · 05/07/2014 08:06

Nope not yet, not sure when to expect them as DD is at a new school, in the old school we had them by now.

FernArable · 05/07/2014 08:13

Phew, not just me! I just read another thread that stated Year 6 SATS levels are released on Tuesday so it's possible they're just waiting for those.

Not yet no

MrsBungle · 05/07/2014 08:16

Ours came home yesterday.

NK5BM3 · 05/07/2014 08:16

We got ours in Thursday (year 1) and open evening planned for Tuesday coming.

OpiesOldLady · 05/07/2014 08:17

Ours are due out on Thursday, so I imagine it'll be Friday before we get them, what with the strike and all.

17leftfeet · 05/07/2014 08:17

Our school sends them out a week before they break up so we will get dds on Friday

Not many parents meetings take place as negative points in the reports, and they do include negatives, have already been raised with parents as and when the need arises

Chasingsquirrels · 05/07/2014 08:18

Ours were yesterday. I was wondering about SATs results as my yr6 DC report had levels but I'm assuming SAT's will look more official. Be interesting to see how the two compare, or will the school already know the SAT's? I know in the past yr6 reports have come later with the SAT's

Super! Thanks everyone for replying, it seems I'm a bit ahead of myself. I am one of those parents who enjoys getting correspondence from the school, DD is neither the worst nor the best in class (behaviour and academic) so there's little need for discussion with the teacher and I always get a little bit excited to hear how she's doing!

Our school is terrible for this, they usually come home the day before they leave with a note at the end saying to organise a meeting with the teacher if desired.
Erm, when, exactly? !

They also leave sports day until the last week so when it's rained off there is no opportunity to rearrange.

Bunnyjo · 05/07/2014 08:33

DD's school will send out reports on 11th July and parents evening is 14th July.

MirandaWest · 05/07/2014 08:36

We get ours next week (newsletter said they'll happen in the week commencing 7th July). There aren't any formal parents evenings this term but you can arrange to see a teacher if you want to.

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 05/07/2014 08:41

We haven't had them, nor have we given a date to expect them. I can't remember but think they were very late last year. We have open afternoon to see the children's work on 18th. If reports are the same day it doesn't give much time to ask any questions...but

mrz · 05/07/2014 09:10

most schools send them out after they have received the test levels which need to be included.

lljkk · 05/07/2014 09:15

We had sports day in early June this year. GOOD move.
reports due out next week or week after.

Toomanyhouseguests · 05/07/2014 09:16

Nope, not yet. We usually get them the last week.

starlight1234 · 05/07/2014 09:19

We get ours on 14th

Adikia · 05/07/2014 09:22

I got DD's last week, DS' are usually the week before they break up, so this Friday, as they always wait for year 6 SATs results.

In both schools everyone is expected to go to parents evening so appointments are booked a week or so before the reports come out then the reports come out a day or 2 before the appointment so you have time to read them.

Jinsei · 05/07/2014 09:36

We had ours on Tuesday but would expect them to be earlier than most as we break up next week.

Meglet · 05/07/2014 09:43

15th. The school has an open afternoon that day. Parents are invited in to collect reports and talk to the teachers. There's also a chance to have a private chat about any concerns.

simpson · 05/07/2014 09:49

Ours come out next Monday although not sure about yr6 though.

insanityscratching · 05/07/2014 10:16

We're getting ours on the ninth (y6) in fact I think the whole school are then too. No parents' evening at this time of year but there is an open door policy so anyone with concerns has the opportunity to meet with the teacher/HT should they wish to do so

DeWee · 05/07/2014 10:45

None of ours (3 schools) are out yet.

I'm always surprised by how early we get the dc's as when I was at school it was always the last day of school or posted during the holidays.

CheckpointCharlie · 05/07/2014 10:52

Ours go out next Friday. Don't know when I will get my DCs though.
